Danny Welbeck will join Watford on a two-year deal after agreeing terms with the club, it has been reported. The 28-year-old is currently a free agent following his release from Arsenal at the end of last season, but reports now suggest the striker has agreed to join the Hornets. Last night, odds on the player joining Watford were slashed amid reports of discussions between the player and the club and now it is thought those talks have progressed to the point of an agreement. It has been reported that a deal will be completed today and that the player will sign a two-year deal.
We all know he has medical history, but, bloody nora, what a coup this would be! A fit, on form Welbck would waltz into any team anywhere. I am finding it difficult to contain my excitement on the prospect of this signing!
Success should try and go out on loan Poss Italy Welbeck coming off the bench trying to prove what a good player he is to get back in the England team .Great deal for us
Yep - IF he can get fit would be as good as it gets. One thing about him is he always seems to have had a great attitude. Always seems like a very likeable guy. Very exciting with the obvious proviso Ah - roll on Saturday
Absolutely agree. Totally professional and I’ve always been a massive fan of him. Delighted. I think he’ll get on very well with Deeney and fingers crossed we have a new double act in town. Both can switch the No 9 and 10 roles, both can ably assist, both able finishers. This is potentially great for us. With holding on to Doucoure, Deulofeu and Pereyra, and Dawson strengthening the back, this has been a very good window.
I was hoping we would grab him on a free transfer As said else where the only possible downside is his injury history but the difference last year for our injury problems was brilliant compared to the previous two seasons, we are obviously getting something right A couple of goals at Goodison Park next weekend resulting in our first ever win there would put him in the legends list instantly I hope Javi can keep everyone happy with the competition for all first team places now, we virtually has two first teams who are more than capable of surviving in the Premier league
L’Équipe report that Premier League side Watford have made a breakthrough in their efforts to sign Senegalese international winger Ismaila Sarr. The 21-year-old is set to join the Hornets for €30m plus €5m in bonuses. The Pozzo family are understood to have beaten Rennes President Létang in negotiations, with the latter having held out for €40m, before dropping to €37m, before accepting the deal on offer. Watford are yet to finalise personal terms with the player, but have offered him a 5-year contract.

According to RMC Sport in France, Everton have entirely abandoned their bid to sign Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure – but are already thinking about trying again in January.

The Hornets are now also being linked with a move for Hannover attacking midfielder Genki Haraguchi. Derby are also reportedly interested. Haraguchi is a Japanese international and opened the scoring in their nail-biting 3-2 defeat to Belgium at the World Cup last year.
please log in to view this image Ian Dennis Radio 5 live senior football reporter There have been some rumours of Tottenham defender Danny Rose heading to Watford but that is not happening.
We don't usually leave these things to the last minute like the EU (sorry ) call my bluff I guess. Say a lot about us that someone like Welbeck and even Rose would consider joining Watford.
Cut the Brexit stuff out, I've had to delete the original few replies I wrote to your post to not offend people.
