Suits us then seeing as we're at that level, I was just wondering what the situation is with Rodwell, does it seem likely he'll be offered a contract? It'd be a shame if he worked hard during his trial then pulled the same **** he did with us and you got stuck with him.

 

I can see Rodwell getting a short term deal. Maybe just until January or a 1-year deal, and maybe/hopefully on a pay as you play deal.

We currently have Chalobah, Doucoure and Cleverley all side-lined, so although a couple may be back for the start of the season, they wouldn't have had a preseason. We've been having to play CB's at CM for the preseason friendlies... so can actually see us starting Rodwell and Capoue against Brighton

Suspect the club would take the offer as it could help fund a new striker or two we badly need.

Would be cover for injuries I guess but not sure Southampton would sell at that price.

 

West Brom have rejected an offer from Watford for Craig Dawson, according to Sky sources.

It is understood the offer was an initial loan year-long loan for a fee of £750,000.

The offer also included an option to buy Dawson for £2.5m instalments over four years adding up to a potential total of £10m.
