Just our luck isn’t it . Not fully fit then gets unwell so cannot get fit. https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/20813024.watford-boss-discusses-keinan-davis-ruled-now/
Against QPR we actually looked better when we had Pedro, Sarr and Asprilla as a front three, scored three goals (one offside allegedly) plus the Pedro attempt that hit the posy/crossbar, it is and always has been the DEFENCE that needs attention, what is the point of scoring three goals if the opposition can score three against us Sort out the defence to stop conceding weak goals and any goals we score will count for something
Yes - typical really .’ Score 2 goals potentially ought to have been 3 but then mess up in defence albeit one very unlucky .
Seems we are we going to stick with what we have really. Going to leave us short in a few areas and hoping we don’t get injuries in other ( well we already have !)
Tongue in check or serious warning sent out to Pozzo ? Rob Edwards: “I’ve already told Gino to turn his phone off until the transfer window shuts - we don’t want to lose players and finding replacements will be difficult”
Hopefully tongue in cheek - he has, after all, been quoted more than once saying that the club have prepared for such an eventuality.
I suspect that this will only happen if Palace sell Zaha. If it does happen I will be disappointed but not overly worried. Sarr only seems to perform well when he has a right wing back with whom he is on the same wave length, as he was with Kiko. We can't rely on Sarr for more than 10 goals. We need a proven goalscorer and a RWB who can also help the central defenders. Middlesbrough's goal was a result of Sierralta having to move across to cover.
We all remember just how good Sarr was when he first appeared on our scene as an out and out winger, with a great understanding with Kiko. Watching him in the African nations cup he was given a much freer role to wander all across the front line. Richarlison played very much as a winger in his time at Watford, but Everton turned him into more of a striker rather than a provider. It appears that Watford are now using Sarr in that role as he is popping up all over the place, but if we did have a proven goalscorer then they would be helped with some the first rate crosses he can put in.
So will we see any in comings and maybe more importantly keep Pedro and Sarr? Could be a decisive day! Or just very dull...
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...rd-star-Ismaila-Sarr-week-deal-COLLAPSED.html noooooooo....................
I wonder if we're about to get shafted again - last minute loss with no time to organise a replacement? I hate the story, but the ad looks interesting...
If true they probably have missed out on another target but would make Sarr feel he id very much 2nd choice .
I hope that it is not too dull, Everyone can see that Edwards needs a speedy RWB to add balance to the team. Kamara is not comfortable and less effective in that position rather than LWB. Gaspar is not speedy and will probably struggle to play all the games. Ngakia is more a RB than a RWB.
No Everton please look elsewhere. This guy said Pedro to Newcastle was a done deal though so maybe not the most reliable!
I think he is the "here we go" guy - always used that phrase when he thought his rumours were more than rumours, and they mostly turned out to be just rumours. Good to see that the club are sticking to their guns and rejected it & have no intention of letting him go - everything that comes out of them suggests that Pedro is quite happy to stay. Possibly just for the time being though.
