Troy did not look very enthusiastic on Saturday, spending most of his time doing streching excersises by corner flag. He appeared not to be paying much attention to the game on the pitch and when Britos got sent off with all the fuss that brought he did not even look down the pitch to find out what was going on. Even his acknowledgement off the Rookery when they chanted his name was very low key. He did the minimum for the few minutes he was on the pitch but that may be down to the tactics that were being employed and not him directly.
The grapevine says that Iggy has persuaded his current club, Changchun Yatai, to lodge a £45 million bid... Troy is currently looking for a calculator big enough to handle the wage figure in yuan.
Just got an email to say that he will be signing autographs in the club shop tomorrow. so never say never but don't think he is moving.
https://www.thisisanfield.com/2017/...-join-watford-loan-talks-move-forward-slowly/ Another one resurrected - Lazar Markovic to join on loan.
Thought he had moved to Italy but clearly not! https://www.thisisanfield.com/2017/...-join-watford-loan-talks-move-forward-slowly/
Left Back coming in? @PortuBall Dutch fullback and international Marvin Zeegelaar will be joining Marco Silva's Watford. Sporting to receive €3m + bonuses. [Record]
Will Ronald Koeman take all our forward line to Everton? First it was Troy Deeney and now Stefano Okaka, so who is next? The fans up there are less than impressed.
Get Pudil back, he´d be decent enough cover...Him and Holebas can dove tail suspensions after cards...
Molla Wagué a French born Malian international defender currently at Udinese is being linked by Sport Witness. His appearance record doesn't look too hot.
Further to this; "Watford Observer understand Udinese GK Orestis Karnezis and CB Molla Wague are in talks with #WatfordFC" So keeper in (Pantilimon to go?) and a CB (so we must offload 1 or 2, surely?). Maybe just a LB then imagine that will be our summer done... and think it would have been a great transfer window
Kev couldn't agree more. I´ll be very surprised if we end up in the fight at the bottom with what we have. Fingers crossed of course regarding injuries and to a lesser extent red cards And hopefully the finances look good with not over spending and controlling those wages. Well done to everyone at the club and now over to the gaffer who has done no wrong so far (I'm assuming he intended us to be out of the cup ).
Totally agree It has amused me reading some people's opinions on Twitter - saying if we don't sign 3/4 more, that Silva will be pee'd off! As long as too many don't leave, we have depth all over the squad (other than Left Back - but once Janmaat is back, Femenia looked good enough to play that role too). I think Success and Amrabat will be good as back up wingers. Hughes doesn't have to hit the ground running but can grow into the squad. Capoue must be one of the best CMs on the bench out the 'bottom half' teams. We have 3 options at striker - and nice to have a pace option in Grey. CBs we have plenty of, and hope to see more of Kabasele, but could do with bringing in a few younger CBs over time. Then just need the long-term successor to Gomez. We are slowly building a very good squad, and nice to see some young, English talent too! Chalobah has got to be one of the bargains of the summer...
Looks like West Brom is going to sign Pantilimon - no doubt as back-up to Ben Foster - for about £3m Also linked to Left Back Ziegler - although maybe they got him confused with Zeegeler we have already been linked with....
