Reports in South America claim Real Madrid and Liverpool have agreed terms for the transfer of Fabinho.

The shock claims insist Fabinho will move to Los Blancos before the close of the transfer window, which remains open for Real until the end of August despite the English market ending tomorrow.

The move will reportedly be made official once Liverpool have signed a replacement for Fabinho, who only joined from Monaco last summer.

Fabinho actually spent a year on loan at Real Madrid, when Jose Mourinho was manager in 2012/13.

Not a chance

I wouldn't be happy changing the entire shape of the team just to fit in a player who didnt want to be here 12 months ago.

Fab is unstoppable at the minute, I think hes our best midfielder, we need a 3 man midfield that will constantly work, especially as we have two full backs who are so attacking.
I have a slightly different take on Fab in that in his effect on the team performance/shape is greater than his own input .

It’s a shame that we are unlikely to strengthen the team. Had higher hopes for this season but we have more fixtures, front 3 have had no rest and our finals have strengthened.

I get what Klopp is saying in regards to Gomez, AOC, Lallana being like new signings after injury but he must realise that injuries happen every season and we will lose players again. So if any first team players are out we are then down to relying on some of the younger players to fill the gaps. Once again though I'm happy with Brewster and Hoever as cover but other than those 2 there's not a lot. Lets Break it down.

Alisson/Adrian
TAA/Gomez Matip/Gomez VDD/Lovren Robbo/Hoever
Fabinho/Hendo
AOC/Wijnaldum Keita/Milner
Salah/Shaq Bobby/Brewster Mane/Origi

Lallana is also available even though I may wish he wasn't we then are down (anyone I've missed) and kids. It isn't bad but the worry for everyone is 2 of our front 3 out long term leaving Brewster and Origi to cover, it may work but would be a concern. Brewster really does have to be the real deal (no pressure like).

Former Liverpool player Coutinho, 27, could also be set to join Manchester United. (Express)
Literally anyone could be a sports journo these days.
"Player 1 could be set to join team A, or it could be a loan deal with team B. Sources say his agent has been in touch with teams C,D and E, and Spanish outlet Mundo Estupido says negotiations are well under-way with team F. Or possibly G.
Teams X,Y,and Z have also shown interest."
