Glad we didn't have this attitude in 2005. We have to beleive we can win. It's the mentality that it cannot happen that is the difference between being a big team and so called wannabes.
You look at Citys first 11 and I beleive only their right back and Goalkeeper are the only players who were not in peps first season. What has changed is their mentality and belief that they can do better.
Go full throttle and try to win the bloody thing. That is what will build momentum for seasons to come
Of course we should be confident going into the CL but I agree with MITO in that getting a top 4 spot is higher priority.
We need CL qualification for next year so we can continue to buying quality players. VVD and Keita are incoming but we need more.
We don’t want to do an Arsenal and merely qualify for CL without progressing.
We are progressing under Klopp and we are becoming stronger. We now have a proper CB, and Keita will add more dynamism to our midfield. Rumours are strong that we’re after a keeper as wel so Klopp is addressing our weak spine.

100%! We should definitely get him in. He will add dynamism to our midfield. Excellent dribbler and creator which we badly need now that Coutinho has gone.
And he should be settled in for next season when we can really make a push.
I've given up bleating about how obscene the amounts of money are that get passed around in footie (for now at least
) - so in the ridiculous context we have now, I think it would be worth paying the extra if it helps consolidate our top 4 place this season.
He gave up when he saw the squad for this season and said 6th, fa cup run and CL last 16 were our limits.

yeah he's a **** right enough. only ever a couple points off at most being dead right.
Sounds a lot when you put it that way, but if if makes the difference between top 4 or not it would be worth it.
The question is will he make that difference? I really don't know enough about him, tbh.
4th to 5th might only be a couple of points, but it's a world of difference.
