He ran that club from top to bottom on the football side, it was always going to turn to ****, as he was a complete enigma

yup, same as its coming to arsenal next... has to.

Ferguson should have prepped utd for 3 years and got all the ducks in a row but he did not. He SHOULD have gone sporting director and appointed moyes as was his choice and assure coaches etc were all good.

he walked off to sit upstairs and all the coaches got binned etc.

but then ferguson always has yes men assistants too.

They're never going to develop into quality PL players, if you never play them in the PL!

Which takes us to the root cause, which is the lack of time managers get these days to build a team. I think the average tenure of a PL manager now is around 91 games in total. No wonder they're reluctant to take a chance on youth is it?
You're spot on with this comment. There's a complete lack of patience in all areas of football these days in fact I can't think of one area where anyone's prepared to be patient. As a fan I can't believe the impatience of my fellow fans.

You said the other day it's a results business and that's true, it's always been that way, but the joy of the game and the sheer entertainment value risks being sucked away by how much financial gain or loss rests on those results. The only real competition is between the richest clubs while the rest just make up the numbers. It's why the FA Cup is still enjoyed for the 'cup upsets' it throws up - real football entertainment.

Yes mate, it's the blind fear created by the financial abyss that comes with relegation, that drives the need for results now or be gone.

The likes for Ferguson and Kendall would have been sacked way before they achieved their success if they'd have been managers in todays game. They used to get years to build something, now they get 3 / 4 transfer windows if they're lucky, the bottom 8 teams even less.

Liverpool target Inaki Williams has spoken out following speculation of a potential a move to Anfield in the summer transfer window.
Williams has scored 20 goals in 89 appearances for Athletic Bilbao since making his debut for the La Liga outfit back in 2014 but the 22-year-old forward has consistently been linked a move to Merseyside.

The Spain international, who has a £42.5million release clause in his contract at Bilbao, insists he’s happy at the club but is admitted he’s flattered by the recent rumours.

‘Lots of things are coming out in the news but I am calm,’ Williams told Sportium.

On a side note - Zielinski is having a good start to his Napoli career. Looks really classy. Need to add a similar style player to our midfield asap.

Liverpool transfer news and rumours: Reds to battle Arsenal for £30million Kasper Schmeichel?
Arsenal can have him. Guy is ****e, as proved this year, and at £30million <laugh><laugh><laugh>. Maybe last summer, this summer he's down to £5mill at best.
You can tell this is a bullshit story, why would Arsenal want a backup gk at £30m, Cech is a hundred times better. Smells of an agent fearing his client is about to relegated and trying to drum up interest.

I don't think he's ****e. He's certainly better than we have (not the bench mark we should be aiming for).

IMO, Man City went with the wrong youngster. Schmeichel got into their team first (Sven?) but then opted for Hart.

Hes good keeper, but wouldn't say he's that much better than Mig.

This is all part of the Leicester conundrum. Is he as good as he was last season? Is it his back four letting him down?

Its a tough one, I don't see him as a better keeper than Migs right now
