    Fabio Cannavaro; legendary CB... 5'9"

And in a time period where height mattered more

Never played in engurlund. This is all about playing in the prem.

Plus cannavaro had Nesta beside him who was just tall enough, barely.

For all the lets take goal kicks short there's still a load of head tennis that goes on in the prem and you still need that spine of the side.

Funnily thiago was only 5 foot 9 but had a great leap so some midgets can compete based on having springs on their feet but most just don't.

I've never said I just want a lump either. All of our current tall men also can or used to move fast. Every one of our lot have pace and can move, bar vvd who is aging and doesn't want to as much.

So you want a 6ft 6 cb who is as quick as Salah, can jump like Tim Cahill, the agility of robben and is 20 years old.

Let me know when you find him

In other news today. In Mito Industries, 200 line workers were fired today for being midgets under 6' tall. One 60 year old tea lady was devastated after working for Mito Industries for 20 years and being a few weeks away from retirements.

    No a 6foot 5 keeper
Cbs thst are 6 foot 3 and cover
    Central midfielder (1) thats 6 foot 1"
Central striker that's 6 foot 2 or so.

If you look at our youths
Davies, jaros and mrozek are all 6 foot 3
    Nallo is 6'2" at 17 now. Pinningt9n is 6'3" at 17.
We bought nyoni who's also 16 and clipping 6 foot.
And of course jayden danns just about 6'1"

It's like as if someone was reading my thoughts assembling our youths

What I actually would like at 6 is the next rodri as he is quick enough, strong and 6 foot 3 inches.

    Replaced them with robots mate.

Tea ladies don't need to be tall, the fit into the wide area category and need to be nippy.

However I fired them as people wanted a fancy coffee machine instead.

    Yeah I agree
Don’t want to be signing any of these **** short players like
Messi or Kante or Mascherano or Gerrard or Maradonna
Defo needs to be another 6fter

Messi or maradone doesn't count. I keep telling you midgets like him and salah are fine on the wing. Do keep up

Mascherano yeah. ****. Little man throwing himself about to make up for it.

Gerrard was 6 foot though so alight for playing on the right side

Kante. Meh. I'd rather a macca than a lad who tries to compensate running about all over.

    A little extreme cos I
The Russian lesbians got sent to Liberia by putin. I recruited Ukrainian ones who are all 6 foot plus not including heels

So I've kind of lost track of this argument, been busy, but imo I would just like us to sign someone to improve our team. Be that a 6.7ft giant CB or a 5.9ft tricky winger.

It's far too quiet for me.

Squad wasn't good enough to stay in the race last year, so it aint going to be this year either, clear we need to add, replace and improve.

I also admit I'm not entirely sold on Slot, so if Klopp (a manager with a hugely proved track record) couldn't get them over the line, I don't believe Slot will be able to either.
I worry that FSG will use this transition to cheap out and do **** all with a new manager that doesn't have the weight Klopp did.
Slot himself feels like a FSG cop out. He feels like a potential rather than a world class manager, a Rogers rather than a Klopp.

Bit of a ramble, so if TLDR: too quiet with a new manager = worries about another 'transition'

We've a decent squad but not at the races in parts.

I'd take cl qualification right now.

I'd only buy two players though. The balance in midfield is off imo and rw will look very urgent this season imo

I agree with a lot of this. I'm not sold on Slot either although having not convinced me in his club welcome interview, he did well in his first press conference. I'm prepared to give him a chance and I'm glad we went for an 'unknown' rather than what I call a merry-go-round manager.

In the press conference it was mentioned that July would be quiet in terms of transfers and then 'reach a crescendo' in August - funny way of saying expect some movements later on in the window.

July is half over and all the tournaments are just over. There's 6 weeks of window left.

Best case is we are going again with the same players with little to no losses.

Slot might just keep some of the players klopp hasn't had use for like van den berg or morton and make do. Maybe bajceotc does or doesn't make the breakthrough.

There's something lacking in the squad we have, the absolute inability to hold a clean sheet for example.

Whether changing the manager actually helps this is unknown but freshness is needed

I'm still of the opinion any money spent needs to be spent of pace and width.
