I admit it, I always look at NewsNow, and most of the time, I end up hating the experience. Not because I'm not liking the players they are linking us with, but because of the language they use to make you think it is true. The classic site is CaughtOffside, who make up the wildest of headlines that sound like hard facts, but then sneakily end it with a question mark. "Liverpool will start summer spending spree buy swapping entire squad for German unknown with 2 left feet?" Also what is funny with the morons who read this crap on a regular basis is how they then want this player, even though they may never of heard of them, and not only that they will then type out a team formation that will include this supposed transfer target, plus seven or eight more. Today I am rolling my eyes at headlines like... Liverpool furious as Man United steal long-time defensive target (yeah, right, like the Newcastle Left-back is going to cause anyone to get furious) Liverpool facing 'huge' transfer battle for ã10 striker target (we send a fax offering money, it gets accepted or rejected, someone kindly point out the huge battle in that process) Liverpool Ready ã20 Million Offer for World Cup Winner - Updated (What has the fax warmed up yet?) Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Liverpool to battle it out for England midfielder? (Again with the question mark, but how do fax machine battle?) Basically all of them are trying to get people to click on their links, no matter how much of a non-story follows the over the top headline.
I wouldn't bother with any of them. I get the feeling this year nobody will know who we're in for until it is announced that they have signed... just like the good old days. Gossip is just that....and can be made up by any dickhead to try and get themselves in the limelight.
