Zlatan Ibrahimovic for me fellas, has said he'd love a crack at the EPL and I reckon him and Baby Jet would be a crackin partnership

Welbeck ... he has a great future ahead of him wherever he goes! Too many of the names we have seen on these pages carry too big a risk, not all of european players can adapt to the premier league, some like Huntelaar can't even adapt to the italian league. better to go for someone with a proven record. i think Pavlyachenko has been badly treated at Spurs and is a far better player than he has been able to show at a club that rotates too much up front.

I think Wellbeck is a great shout. Hes the right age, proved he likes the club, seems promising that he can form a partnership with Gyan (or Campbell) and like you say no risk in terms of adapting to the EPL. I would much rather spend big money on him than someone like Cole or Pavlyachenko

Think Zlatan would cost 20m upwards and would never join a team not in the champs league.

    Hulk would be class

there is loads of strikers out there for that sort of money who we could go for

    bring on the summer

Who's that lad who got shot in Mexico? He must be on the road to recovery now and I think Brucey was watching him for some time prior to the shooting. It would be really interesting to find out how he is. I know we haven't had much lucky with the lads from South Americans of late but look at Little Pea at Man Utd , he's amazing.!!!

It makes me laugh the way everyone thinks we should throw money at the first name that comes along. Brucey is very clever with safc's money and I really hopes he starts investing more into our youth and buying for the future.

It seems all we do is spend more and more money in every transfer window and Short won't tolerate this much longer because our gates are so low and he possibly won't sanction it for much more.

The only way, and I'm sure of this, is for us to really start pushing is for more people to start attending matches. I know I've flipped the thread here but I'm amazed how dead the stadium is and the fact the our attendance's are so low. This surely can't help Quinn because I'm sure that his bargaining tool would be to Shortat the start of this journey was that 'if we have a quality team people will come'. More people attended Championship games and we're bloody 6th in the best league in the world. Yes I can say that the football hasn't been easy on the eye but If we don't start filling the stadium and soon then I fear Bruce's funds will dry up, hence me wanting to invest in youth.

Roll on Tuesday, very excited, should be a good game...!!

Would be very pleased with Huntelaar or Hulk, but they would most likely cost a bomb

and back to oxfords point about low attendances i think he is spot on.

i know a cup toe against notts county isnt a highlight but to know that it was only about 14k that turned up was disgracefull considerin we were at home and tickets wernt that highly proced. We as fans have a responsability to the club to put our money where our mouth is. we want sunderland to be up there, we want the best players and we want good things for the club, but alas in football nothing comes for free, we should get out in numbers game in game out, cup game or no cup game, especially at home, Im one of the lucky ones who can afford the luxury of a season ticket at home, and travel to a few away games to dependant on work, Its the guys that are there EVERY game home or away that deserve special mention though and not just for monetary reasons either, its a love thats unrivaled. rant over.

lastly though, itd be nice to see our operating profits from a match day compared to some one like villa, i say villa as they have similar fan base/ attendance etc. ?

really looking forward to chelsea game. the flags oout packed house ( hopefully) should be a night to remember!!
