If Mike Ashley intends on selling our best players when there is a bid for them then he should come out and say so. Ever since Pardew came in he has said that Carroll would not be sold but on the last day of the window he is out of the door with no replacement coming in. If Mike Ashley says yes players might leave but it will be on our terms then I would accept that it is going to happen but I would not be left feeling betrayed by the club. Owen Coyle has said all month that if a good offer for Gary Cahill or Johan Elmander comes in then they will be sold and then Bolton fans know where they stand. It is no secret that Wigan accept good offers for their players but they don't say we are going to keep whoever and then sell up at the first opportunity. I don't like the fact the players may be sold but I feel it is a better way to go than talking **** all month when they are going to sell. Does anyone else feel this way or am I just talking nonsense?

We just have to accept that all we will ever get from this administration is stonewall silence for the majority of the time followed by contradictions to the line that <insert this seasons manager name here> is spouting

We have a club where the owner and people running it are now so detached from the fan base and that can never be repaired so any statements of intent and ambition from the board will be treat with massive suspicion.

As for transfers well we dont have a transfer policy the signing of Ireland and attempted signing of N'Zogbia prove that we are taking the panic scattergun approach instead of methodically finding and signing targets

Only Newcastle could lose two strikers and sign two midfielders while bidding on a third during a transfer window when we are strongest already in midfield

I'm sure after all that Andy said, the majority of people thought he would at least stay until the summer. Especially considering he signed a 5 and a half year contract in October.

Newcastle United expected him to stay too. However Carroll submitted a transfer request and more than £35m was on the table for him. Hence why they accepted Carroll's request.

The only reason we didn't bring in a replacement was because we were sure Carroll wanted to stay. Pardew said it himself!
