Transfer D-Day

Arsenal are off on Friday to begin their Asian Tour. The inclusion or exclusion of Theo & RvP on this tour will provide a *HUGE* indication of whether their futures lie with the Club for the forthcoming season.

- If both travel, with the additions of Giroud & The Pod, plus the presence of Bould & Banfield, another years experience and the return of Wilshere, this season could be a good one.
- If both leave, Giroud is merely a replacement for RvP, and The Pod for Theo, and the squad has no more depth than last year (save for Wilshere's return).

Make no mistake, the next few days could define the progression or regression of the Arsenal team for the forthcoming season.

 

I agree that if neither of them go, then it will seem that they are on their way out. But if both go, then it won't prove anything, both could still easily leave after the tour.

 

They could still leave after the tour even if they do travel. However it would be less likely I think.

 

Won't some players still be on holiday?

 

Think only the Pod and Mertesacker might still be on hoilday. Germany got through to the last four of the Euro's, so they get more time off.

 

Yeh, was thinking that our England players aren't with the squad in America yet, or Reina.

 

Walcott and AOC back in training by the end of this week for us.

 

I expect the likes of Downing will need lots of rest considering his important role at the Euros.

 

Some players such as Pod and Mert are going to Nigeria instead.

They are going on a promotional trip, not the official tour.
