No problem with that. He can go and earn some extra dosh in the last few years of his career.

Best of luck to him - it's been on the cards for some time now. He's been a stalwart over the years and has always given 100%.

Had a massive game last time out against West Ham, but the trouble is his 100% right now is probably 70% of what it used to be.

Warnock type of player through and through, but if Warnock isn't around next season, maybe time for the club as well as Gunnar to look elswhere.

Helped us get where we are (twice) and might yet help keep us there.

Good luck to him. He's been a good servant.

Time to move on as evolution happens.

It does worry me that wherever we are next season, our centre midfield will be pretty light. Ralls, Bacuna and Patterson will be our only choices and two of them are not specialists.

As a minimum we're going to need a striker and a couple centre mids for the start of next season.

Best of luck to him, he's done us proud.

Agree with remote that no matter what league we are in, we're going to need a significant additions in the middle and a goal scorer. In addition, we could also do with a change in the way we play. We've done well to get where we are but we need to start developing a style for the club.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^This is spot on but I think we'll need a new manager and coaching staff to achieve it. <ok>

We must progress our style to cope with the modern game. There will always be the need for strength and grit - it's a question of getting the balance right.

His performance and endeavour versus West Ham was just immense.

    His goal v Wolves likewise.

    A great servant:emoticon-0148-yes:

Great servant to the club and wish him all the best. I do think it's time he moves on now for both the club and himself.

Hope he does well in Qatar!

It’s been known for a while that he’d more than likely be leaving at the end of this season.
If we do drop down, he’s the type of player we will need to get us back up. I don’t think he’d be a regular starter, if we remain in the premier league.
I have been saying it for a while that the midfield needs improving, even with Gunnar, Camarasa and Arter still with us until the end of the season. We need quality signings in the midfield before anywhere else, I’m sure NW is now giving this the high priority it deserves.
I doubt Camarasa will make his loan deal permanent given the recent ‘prolonged’ injury. Arter may well stay, if we remain in the premier league.

Rumoured to be on £40k a week so don't know how it would fit with our wage structure.

Yes, not a bad shift, shame about the beard though! :emoticon-0103-cool:

<party><party><party>Worst beard awarded two consecutive years. A tittle held by Joe Ledley apparantly!
