An easy trip for the Whites to leaders Tranmere on Saturday although the pack is now starting to gather around the league leaders. Ronnie Moore has done well since re joining the club, they don't appear to have any stars but seem to be playing for each other which is always the mark of a successful side.
They have an experienced squad with Ian Goodison clocking in at a 39 although he hits the big 40 next month, also the useful Andy Robinson who has done the hard yards.
add to that a Welsh speaking keeper in Fon Williams so it's Pobol y Cwm* to him.

As for the tinkerman 11 changes this week, having seen the two goals we shipped at Scunny on Tuesday expect a 10-0-0 formation.

    Don't speak Welsh.
No this afteernoon I expect GW to keep faith with Jack King & Beavon. Old Ronnie dished PNE when commentating for Sky apparently saying NE were so predictable.
Ah! The 15.00 matches have started. Now to look for some commentary.

Half time. NE dominent 56% of play & 3 shots on goal to 2 shots off goal by Tranmere. Apparently, the ref is not sympathetic to NE's appeals for penalties. One seems to have been a blatant hand ball on the goal line by a defender. Judging by the stats from the BBC, Tranmere were dominent for 15 mins after period of no advantage to either side. But for the last period it is mainly NE. Stu Beavon is a thorn in their side.

Wife is not well so have to go shopping now! Up the Whites.

Believe we played well, everybody appears to think it was a penalty denied at the death, curses, good point though and he started with and unchanged team, how bazaar is that?

I wonder what old Motormouth Ronnie is saying now. On the way home in the car, I was listening to 606 and a lady came on to speak. She was very clever: she said she was a Norwich supporter 'by birth'. That is how she got through the 606 obsession with the Premiership. In fact she was a Tranmere supporter. She had married a big wig in TRFC and was hughly involved in the club herself. (You could almost hear the panic of the presenter & the expert & the producers at this mention of a NW Club) She praised the standard of football she had just seen (without mentioning that the away team was PNE) and that she saw 2 teams playing good exciting football eager to win & that Premiership followers should support the local lower division teams at cheaper prices.
She has a point. Thanks to people like Wenger, the culture of football in the lower divisions has changed without losing the essential British element of 'all out to win'. Sometimes I watch Premiership & international football and get bored: one team trying to break down a defensive another team e.g. Barcelona v Chelsea, England v Italy in Euro 2012. Yesterdays match was one where the away team went for the kill immediately without resorting to the percentage ball. Perhaps GW is getting the team together and, apart from absentees like Holmes & Trundle, has found his team.
One thing supporters can be assured of is that when a player for NE gets tackled, he will not do a somersault and triple roll lke Suarez! He will just carry on.

Or like Gary Alexander pushed on the shoulder by Oldham defender goes down holding his face, screaming agony, has a sneeky look at the ensuing melee before squealing again, mind you that sums Crawley up
