Seven dead. Trams have an excellent safety record, sorry, HAD an excellent safety record. Looks like the driver was nailing it round a bend and it flipped over. As a commuter who passes through where the Clapham Rail crash happened this sort of thing is chilling.

If you think that is chilling, how do you think I feel, I moved from Nice a mere 30 months before the thing happened with the guy driving the lorry down the promenade and my good mate Fernando Macho moved from Nice only 7 years before it happened. We have all had close calls mate<ok>

The point was I have to travel past the scene of a brutal train crash every day, not that I had a lucky escape. I am pleased to hear that Fernando survived though, sounds like he is a top geezer.

In a way we are all survivors. We should have a group where we can hold hands and talk about our experiences, a sort of 12 Step Programme for GC members.

"My name is Grove and I narrowly missed a train disaster by about 20 years"

Coffee & muffins would be nice too.

Not sure about the holding hands or the coffee and muffins for that matter, but maybe free beer, coke and hookers might be more of a winner?

Leave out the beer and coke and we might have a winner.

"My name is Grove and I went through Kings Cross Station four years before the fire. I'll have a vanilla latte, a blueberry muffin and a rusty trombone* from Tiffany"
