I found this post by ProffG on the Arsenalmania forum and thought I should share it because I thought it was really informative: By reading this, I'm looking forward to watch Ryo Miyachi playing in the Premier League but also feel kind of sorry for Denilson.
Looking forward to see Miyaichi play... I wonder if Wenger will send him out on loan to Feyenoord again. Btw what is a "worm welcome"? ;-)
I think it's something to do with the stadium shaking from the sheers I would of thought fans bringing sheers to a game, even a training one was a health and safety risk tho
Great blog ! Really enjoyed reading it, and the slightly off the mark translation Ryo Miyaichi does sound like an exciting player, it will be great to see him in the team with Walcott, Arshavin and Gervinho. But I'm really impressed with how Frimpong is doing. He was just about to break into the first XI last season, when he ruptured his knee. He was immense in the pre season before this. DM is a key area for us, our back four were exposed far too often last time around. It's good to have two good players for that position.
And Denilson sounds like he was hopeless there... not enjoying the tour and short of confidence. I feel sorry for him because in the unlikely event that he stays at Arsenal (which will be because no-one wants to buy him), his first team opportunities will be limited. He should consider a move to South America.
this was most likely written by a Malaysian Arsenal fan, and I think we should show some serious appreciation for an amazing insight into how the team are doing. BIG positive is Frimpong from the sounds of it. Great that Chesney is looking good. A bit unsettling that Gibbs didn't look sharp, but RvP is a great player. Interesting that he was played out on the left? I'd like to know how the teams lined up. Traore has good height - i think he's 6' 3" which would be fantastic for the defense if he proves to be a decent LB. Amazing that the fans went mad for Nasri, it could be the difference-maker. A shame for Denilson, but he publically stated that he wanted to leave to win trophies. The fans won't forgive him after that. Miyaichi seems a hot prospect, just hoping he gets a national team call-up at some point very soon so he can get a permit.
Very interesting read. Thank you for your insight. WIll see what team wenger puts together for the emirites cup
