Council meeting today to decide whether to approve our training centre - meeting starts at 7pm - UPDATE - now given the go ahead. You can see all documents submitted to council including design and access statement which has some 3d views of what it will look like. Also go to page 6 of related docs to see plans of the main building for qpr first team and academy. Bit of an improvement over Harlington!!
Plans look amazing. Lets hope everything gets approved. First class plans or first team and academy teams. Now that's 'rock & roll'.
Think of it this way, maybe we wont have to pay players 50% more than they are worth to slum it in a college ground. Players would take less money to work in a better environment as would most people in any job.

It gives us the platform needed to grow and win back some respect. After going through that it's easy to understand why this has dragged on for so long. QUEENS Park Rangers football club is delighted to confirm it has been given the go ahead to progress its plans for a state-of-the-art training ground facility at the Warren Farm site. At a meeting this evening (Wednesday 24th April), Ealing Councillors voted in favour of granting planning permission for the club's proposal to build a full multi-purpose Elite Training Facility and Community Sports Complex on the Warren Farm site. It is intended that works will begin in the coming months, with the facility set to be ready ahead of the 2015/16 season.
It may not seem like it right now but the training facility is vital to the long term future of our club. IMHO.
You're right Sussex, 'course you are - but right now the prospect of a training facility does little to assuage my misery!
It's not just the training facilities, it's also going to be the academy, that is what's vital. If you see the plans, I'm sure it's going to be the best training facilities bar none at the time of building. But what's more the club are developing the site for the community too, and paying for the upkeep of the public facilities, so it's a win win for everyone.
I know mate, just try and look beyond our current **** state, think about how we will (hopefully) get stronger and come back. We just have to hope that Tony gets the key decisions right. We need to be like Dortmund if you saw the game tonight, lets hope that the club can turn it around. Be positive, be strong, our time will come, everything goes in cycles.
At the risk of sounding stupid (again) how come the proposed stadium is to take less time to build than the training complex? Is the clue in the word "complex?" Good news though.
Ive sort of accepted our fall this season by thinking that we were promoted too soon, it sort of softens the blow in my soft head and helps me to look forward to next season. Good things come to those who can wait, albeit we waited 15 years to get back to the top flight. I ignore that bit.
Good News indeed. Wonder what Reading's facility is like Mr Nosey Madjeski?! Sorry to witter on but that plank has irritated me! This really is good news and what more could we want as a sign for the good intention for the future of QPR?
Approved and hopefully it will stop any doubts over TFs and the Mittel's commitment to the long term development of the club. Stadium plans next...
This all looks very exciting indeed. Will easily be the best training centre in the Championship! More seriously, does anyone think the start of 2014/2015 season would involve quite a slow build?! Or am I misunderstanding the size of the project?
