Seems to be highly rated in NI, could be another gem from the scouting network. Having said that, I know **** all about him, personally . Hopefully he's a bit better than his namesake..!
Looks decent on the ball and in the tackle, but his passing could use work... Only young though, plenty of time for him to be coached up to standard. Seems to have all the raw ingredients.
Good to see us going for another young lad who can develop. Lets not bash Denver Hume though, he has a role to play here.
I hate highlight YouTube videos but what the heck... really like the look of him from that video. Clearly still raw but he's 19. Seems to have a good physique and seems to want to dribble forwards regularly. I think that's what LJ looks for in his full backs. Very much doubt he will come straight in but might hopefully see him on the bench and perhaps get some minutes to rest Wright and prove he deserves to start.
Timely reminder that in the last January window that wasn't under this ownership we signed Declan John, Kyle Lafferty, Josh Scowen and Tommy Smith.
Sounds like he's a bit like O'Nien in that he's very dedicated to the game, always grafts and does his best and competes physically above what you'd expect for his height. Not a lot to go on at this point but he sounds like the right type of character.
Lafferty wasn't that bad, Scowen was a disappointment as he never really suited us, but I can't remember the other two. Tells you what an impact they had!
Had to Google Declan John and Tommy Smith as couldn't remember then. Wiki reckons 0 appearances each shows they were good signings.
Yeh. I guess my point was that absolutely none of them had the long term in mind. Perhaps Scowen. But the others were all trying to plug gaps as cheaply as possible. The differences in recruitment styles are significant. It's why I yawn whenever I see people suggest nothing has changed since the takeover.
The only thing Scowen was good at was firing the ball over the bar. Just shows that we've now taken a much better approach and looking for young hungry players eager to show what they are capable of and also adding some experience that needs a new start.
What about that own goal he scored. Embarrassing. Also, colour or stripe blind, could never string a pass together.
hopefully we’ve got it sown up before stoke firmed up there interest we’ve got a good set up here facilitie and academy wise and also a few fellow country men so that might of just sealed it I hope
Former NI manager in charge too. Apparently the kid was at the Sheff Wed game so hopefully we've advanced negotiations enough not for his head to be turned
