A Cardiff fan was beaten to death by Swansea fans allegedly. Unbelievable. Here is the thread on the Cardiff board. http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/84187-RIP-Mikey-Dye RIP Football Fan Mikey.
You hope that the thug element would go away and leave football alone. Unfortunately we witnessed at the Vic a few are left behind in the past and can ruin things for the vast majority. There is just no place in society for this type of thing to happen.
For all the bad things that have been done to football over the last 20 years, a lot of measures taken were designed and to an extent have been successful in cutting out this sort of behavior. Any death is tragic, but this is particularly sad, as it reminds us that we're still not out of the woods. RIP Mike
I agree they should not be in the English leagues, but for completely different reasons to this. I can't see how you have got to this conclusion.
Because they (Cardiff and Swansea fans) have caused trouble throughout England week in and week out and the chance to cause mayhem against England at Wembley would have been a huge temptation that they have succumbed to - no doubt the modern corporate hospitality England fan did not oblige and they resorted to fighting amongst themselves. If the scum had to play against TNS and other such ****e each week, they would soon lose all their idiots..
So what about Leeds/Stoke/Plymouth/Millwall/Luton/West Ham...I could go on. They cause trouble in England week in week out. You could even point the finger at the Watford fans who have caused trouble in the past. And in response to your argument that they would lose their idiot element if they had to play TNS etc. each week. It hasn't stopped Luton and they have to play against ****e each week. I think there are other reasons why they should not be in the English league, such as Wales UEFA spots for their league and the FAW dealing with their own clubs, but to bring up this argument because of the tradegy of last night I think is wrong.
I can not remember Watford fans being be ones to cause violence however there was the 2002 Worthington cup incident where Scum fans rushed onto the pitch and started abusing our fans, so a minority then retaliated and then the Scum ripped up advertising hoardings and used various weapons. However we are usually very well behaved. See here http://www.times-series.co.uk/news/541367.0/
I think we're loosing the thread here, Hornette_ TID didn't set this post up so we could have a rant about misbehaviour by supporters of other clubs. Mikey has died going to a football match, no one deserves that, no matteer who they support! RIP Mikey
Yeah well said WFC. RIP Mikey. Its a sorry sight to see such mindless violence in the beautiful game.
Pathetic, bet you the swansea fans don even know all the players in there own team shame it cant be stopped
Goldenboy 1993 , think you will find those responsible for this cowardly attack were from north wales,
