Gloucester Road is holding an event called 'Mayfest' on Saturday and will be having a street party from Pigsty Hill all the way up to Horfield Common and the event starts at 10am finishing at 5pm. As a result, expect very heavy traffic in the area and very limited (if any) parking. Not really ideal when we will be having 10,000 plus gasheads travelling to the area trying to find somewhere to park!!! I would advise all to get to the area much earlier than normal to avoid being late for pre match drinks, late to find your place in the ground and late for kick off. total and utter carnage will ensue! Surely the organisers/council could have put 2 and 2 together and organised it for the week after, rather than coinciding with the last game of the season. Utter numpties!
gets worse.... i have let the club know so they can warn fans on the OS to avoid a lot unhappy gasheads being late. this was there reply... "thanks, we are aware of this and another event. We will be putting something out tomorrow." so not just the street party but there will be another event in the area as well!
No parking problems for moi. One of the wives will drop a few off us off early and we're off on the piss straight after the game, hopefully to celebrate our survival
Can anyone remember the Sunderland game some seasons back in the League Cup cars parked on the corners of roads in peoples drives all over the pavement my old mans mate had a ticket for the game but he couldn't find a place to park so he had to go home
