Nice to be told about this....

    From Blackburn Rovers website.

Fans should allow extra time for their journey to Ewood Park.
Rovers supporters are advised to take extra time getting to the match on Wednesday night due to roadworks on the A666.

Gas main repairs are taking place on the A666 at Earcroft over the next six weeks with temporary lights in place between Pitville Street and Hollins Grove Street, so lengthy delays are expected on matchdays.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area with alternative routes signposted via Hardman Way, Marsh House Lane, Roman Road, Stopes Brow and Greenbank Terrace to junction five of the M65.

I know in previous visits Greenbank Terrace is popular for away fans parking...

Just use the M65 and avoid Blackburn altogether. I live nearby (well 12 miles away) and although using the M65 only might be a liitle longer it will be alot quicker.

What traffic problems. ? Took the normal route and got there with ease and no delays. By 7.10pm it looked like a reserve game with a lack of home fans around. Even the police said is was too quiet. As for the protests ? Silence and thousands of empty seats.
