    Traffic Disruptions Before Tomorrow's Game.

    Anybody using public transport to get to the game tomorrow should note that the Metro Service will be disrupted due to Maintenance work.

    Metro line closure between Byker to North Shields on Sat 09.03.2013 and Sun 10.03.2013. A replacement bus service will run between affected stations.

    Rail line closure between Darlington and Newcastle between 1.30pm Sat 09.03.2013 and 12.30pm Sun 10.03.2013. East Coast services between London and Newcastle will continue to run (via the Durham Coast with timetable alterations), but no trains will call at Durham, Darlington or Chester-le-Street - that includes Cross Country, Trans Pennine & Northern Rail.

    A bus replacement service will link those stations to Newcastle and each other during the closure, with decreased capacity and extended journey times. If you can find an alternative means of travelling, use it.

    Thanks for the heads up AB <ok>

    Sunday service is pretty poor round my area as it is! Thankfully, being at DT's house at present, I know can run to the stadium in about 45 minutes if need be!

    I hope nobody minds sweaty thighs and really really "figure-hugging" shorts...
