From someone in the know I've been told that Championship winger Andros Townsend is one of the players Sam wants to sign. I'd be happy with that. He certainly had been Championship side newcastle's stand out player.
I'm just guessing but I think this is a wind up. You've mocked them twice by saying 'Championship'. Anyway, I'll humor you... I'd rather we put that money towards Ayew, personally.
It's not a wind up Giacc. I did hear it from a reputable source. Of course, he will be one of many linked this summer. I did enjoy using championship and newcastle in the same sentence though.
Forget about Townsend. He's an England squad player now. There'll be bigger clubs in for him. Sam will find other players out there, cheaper and just as good.
Championship player Townsend will not want to ply his trade with Championship side Newcastle in the Championship. By the time Newcastle play their first Championship game, I would imagine a good deal of their current squad will have left Newcastle as they think they are too good for the Championship. The Titanic was a champion ship and that sank as well.
Did you know that after all these years at the bottom of the sea the Titanic's swimming pools are still full. (I hate meself).
I wouldn`t mind him here tbh. Good player, bit of pace, eye for goal. I reckon he could make a big contribution especially with better players around him. They paid £12m (but that`s Levy for you) and £8m release I think is a bargain. No idea about his wages mind. Might be on silly money.
West Ham seem very keen to splurge their newly found wealth. I could see him going there and getting about as much playing time as he did at Spurs.
