He's going to play in the Sammon/ Hunt role.

May not score many but likely to open up space, and a firm upgrade on Sammon for me. Yes please.

I can understand wanting a striker/winger on loan - but is he really the best thats available? Unless we get some injuries, i can't really see him getting any game time. Lately, i've been trusting Mick more and more, but not too sure where his head is with this one. Hopefully i'm proved wrong.

On a side note, can anyone remember the last time we had two brothers playing for us?

I actually think this is a good signing - it may not appear the shock factor etc that people may want, but he has the workrate etc for a 4-3-3.

No thanks, Ambrose, Collison, Sammon, Stewart Bajner and now Hunt ffs!!
For every Dids abd Berra there are 5 or 6 donkeys signed, thank god they were all low risk!!
Honestly dont get this latest link, lose Williams but gain Hunt, really!!!!

I don't think it's a terrible signing Spanish. Would be more keen if we could send the Sammon back though - offers tremendous workrate outwide etc....

" No thanks, Ambrose, Collison, Sammon, Stewart Bajner and now Hunt ffs!! "

Little bit harsh? Collison was well worth a punt, hasn't happened. Ambrose likewise worth a go at 29, low wages, adds something to the place,no issue from me. Bajner was a punt like Bru, who you haven't added in your point.......... Dortmund B striker with promise low wages, what's the issue!? Stewart has been made of glass, main issue I have with him is a 4 year deal I thought was over the top.....

Not an exciting signing at all Hunt, but can do the workrate out wide in our 4-3-3 opening up space for McGoldrick and Murphy, and protecting the full back. A Mick signing, and for the system/ style of play not a bad one at all. Anyone expecting flashy ball players to go into this hardworking pressure pressure pressure fairly direct side is barking up the wrong tree, though we are mixing it up better than last season and in spells ( first half at Forest, second half at Derby ) playing some very decent footy on the eye.

I like the sound of the Hunt calling, we will be Hunting in packs, sorry Spanish I take your point (to a degree) on some of the other signings but I think that the Hunt signing will be a good one!

Pretty average signing but I'm sure he'll do a job for us, who looks like he'll play in the number 10 role, surely a role built for McGoldrick though? I'd rather see us sign a striker who is quite mobile and can get in behind to offer a different option, I guess like Sammon with a bit more quality

Fair enough guys but i just dont get it, we lose Williams and bring in Hunt!!
I would have said ok to bring him in as short term cover but with a view to a perm deal??????
You all backed the signing of Sammon, when a few of us thought it a poor loan and i think we were right on that one, lets hope you are right this time!!

    Westy
Yes i did forget to mention Bru and i also forgot Nouble and SEB!!
Sorry but first the donkey Sammon and now someone with an even worse goalscoring record!! Lets hope TC works his magic as he did with Murphs
I am hoping that funds are being held until the Jan transfer window and then one or two quality players will be bought, ready for the promotion push, like the signing of Marcus Stewart all them years ago!!

Thanks for taking Hunt, lets hope he plays well at least till you make it permanent.Sure he will improve with you guys because to be honest he can't get any worse. If he don't work out please don't send him back, maybe humanely put him to sleep.

I seem to recall Leeds United saying the same about Paul Green and he was very good for us. I'll judge him after he's done a few games for us thanks!

I didn't mind Sammon arriving on loan, however a season long loan I wasn't sure about. Also, Sammon likes the ball to feet but we don't use him like that so not the best use of wages spent for sure on that one!
