We know the first week is one to fear But whatever is going on this year, With crashes galore And riders who ignore The basic rules of changing gear And not taking too many risks Although they´ve not yet reached D´Aubisque, We´ve already seen Some horrendous scenes Resulting in more than slipped discs And yet again, once more today More joined in with the bloody fray, And top riders too Got into a stew And unfortunately ended their stay And just when we all thought the show Could not get worse, what do you know, Those driving the cars Are adding to the scars By bumping off some as they go God knows just where it all may end Or just what could be round the next bend, But Paris, I´d say Seems a long way away Right now, if things don´t start to mend.
