look who these teams have to play,tough weekend. This weekend Swindon travel to another promotion rival in Notts County, while Preston North End (fourth) host MK Dons (third). We on paper have the best of the day- We need to make it count tomorrow. No slip ups.we need a win.
Agreed - on paper our game is a "gimme" but lots of clubs pushing for promotion will slip up against lesser teams...look at the points we dropped in draws against teams we should beat. Need to ensure we take advantage. All the teams at the top are getting results right now and our early season superiority has been whittled away by others going on a series of wins whilst we draw. The results against Swindle and Preston are looking huge right now. The January window might be interesting.
Teams are going to drop points between now and the end of the season, ourselves included. I didn't go to the PNE game as I was away but by all accounts we should have stuffed them. We need to keep our focus and take it one game at a time, including the cup matches. How's that for a cliché !?
'I didn't go to the PNE game as I was away but by all accounts we should have stuffed them' I did and we didn't deserve more than a draw. Against MK Dons, the best side we've played, we beat them 3-2 and barely deserved a draw. It's a funny old game.
