While i was watching the game last night i couldnt help but notice Walcotts anonymous display (I know there were others).

Made me think... If you could would you swap Walcott for Aaron Lennon? (forgetting the fact he plays for Spurs).

    No.

I am definitely not a Walcott fan, I think he is too anonymous too often. I also do not think he will ever be cut out to be a striker like many suggest. But he is far far superior to Lennon.

In fact he has a better goal scoring and assisting record than ' World class worth £50M' Bale over the last 2 years.

    No way <laugh>

Walcott had a poor game last night (not the only one)

But this just smacks of knee jerk reaction. Magic man has hit the nail on the head with the comparison to Bale.

    Walcott over Lennon at anytime.

The only point in which Lennon is better, is his crossing. Apart from that I don't see anything which would make him better than Walcott.

Walcott is bad. But lennon is far worse. Awful player.

Edit: bale and walcott are similar but I dont rate either AT ALL. Bale is so poor its shocking

Mate seriously watch Bale. All he does is kicka nd rush. Also his ego is so massive he doesnt stay out wide and spuds therefore lose their shape. being tactically aware matters....

Yep, I don't rate Walcott much as a winger so I don't think he'd fit in our formation. Lennon started the season well but has had a lot of problems with his hamstrings which has made things difficult for him. I expect Lennon to come good if he's fit for the run in.

25 years old with 25 goals in 287 appearances is pretty piss poor.

Not for a 'keeper it's not.

In the Premier League, Lennon has 3 goals from 12 shots this season, whilst Walcott has 8 in 76. Why does Walcott have more goals? Because he plays further forward and takes more shots.

Every fan overrates good players for their respective team so no amount of stats are going to tell me that Walcott is better :)

  18. erm, no. Just no.

  19. Bale has 9 goals from 119 shots <ok> Some players just shoot more because they get into better positions.

OK. You are wrong, but fair enough. They have played the same position this season. In fact I could argue Walcott has played in a more defensive position this season as we have had no full backs, hence Walcott having to cover various players at RB.

I think we should get rid of Walcott, but he is still better than Lennon.
