Met Phil Brown at Grantham services on the way to the game so shook his hand, thanked him for all he did for City, and wished him luck in his new job. He asked if I was off up for the match. I think this is an omen for a comfortable win.

I've been to a fair few games at the Stadium of Light since I moved up here, the bias of the fans is that high that it's just irritating.
Every fan is obviously going to be slightly bias towards their own team when it comes to referee decisions etc, but christ... I'm still at a loss to put it into words after 8 months.

You have to love the passion though. Derby day was absolutely insane. The whole City was practically a festival.
