The Grean Bay Packers game in Seattle last night ended in controversy. With the scores at 12-7 to Green Bay Seahawks Russell Wilson threw a 24yrd hail mary pass towards Golden Tate in the endzone. The ball appeared to be caught by the Packers safety M.D Jennings and Tate appeared to attempt to wrestle it fromJennings grasp. All eyes were on the two officials standing over the melee, one signaled a touchback and the other signaled a touchdown. Cue mass pandemonium as the Seahawks celebrated and the Packers complained. The play was reviewed as it was a scoring play but the referee only confirmed the on field decision of touchdown.

The decision has caused major controversy as the rules state that
The replays seemed to show Jennings catching the football and taking it into his body whilst Tate attempted to snatch it from him.

There is more controversy as the rules also state that a simultaneous catch cannot be reviewed, only complete or incomplete plays may be reviewed. Therefore it would seem that the play was called incomplete, yet the officials held it to be complete after the review.

As a packers fan I am fuming with the officials, even the college officials should know the rules and get this one right!!

Who saw it and what do you think?

I saw it. Interception all the way.
The defensive player had superior position and kept possession of the ball to the ground.

Im glad somone agrees. How they can give a touchdown when the defender has two hands on it and the attacker has barely got one I have no idea. But the worst thing is missing the interferance. And the officials did it again last night. Thnkfully however it did not cost us.
