anyone else hear what tottons manager said in his interview after the game? really?? are you sure about that?? anyinsah has proved he can do it again and again as scored some crackers already this season. carayol has proved he can do it as scored a quality goal vs corby. richards has proved he can do it as he has scored a top goal vs bradford and thumped the bar vs barnet from range. only woodards could admit he wont be able to do it again this season. really?? at times they played not bad but tore us apart.... please! wtf?? when was this? very disrespectful if you ask me. wow. yes you had a couple of chances but really, you think at times there was no comparison between the 2 sides?? either he is very very bitter or he was watching a totally different game! what a load of crap! hopefully his assistant gets a ban and fine after that kick out on carayol then trying to act all innocent about it! prick. what did you think?
here is what a few think from our OS forum http://www.brfcforum.co.uk/index.php?/topic/100854-totten-manager/
Defo sour grapes - he and his jumped up team were made to look silly, and he is trying to defend himself and his players. At no stage were Rovers in any danger of losing that tie, and after it went 3 - 0 then sure they had a few spells in the game and a few chances, but in all honesty it looked like we could of uped the gas so to speak at any time in the match. At 3 - 0 none of our players are gonna bust a gut (except Swallow!!) and get injured etc. Typical "Crawley" like team - used to bossing thier own league, got a bit of money, like to try and push their weight around etc - oh well another team to watch out for and defo another team to "not like!" Didn't like the play acting and card waving from their players etc - I thought the ref gave as much as he could to them, without making it too obvious and as for their ass manager - knob! I just hope we ain't got to play them again in a hurry! Any feed back on how their fans were? On the TV they were shouting at every challenge for a foul or penalty etc - just wondered how they came across?
excuse my invasion, but having watched the game, totton were finished after 13 minutes with 3 of the best taken goals you are likely to see. i would like to see gas score a few more of those in the league, except on 14/2/12 when your defence will be working overtime. you may get a lucky draw if the luck you had at home to the shrews holds out. anyway a sparkling performance against weak opposition. just one of those cracking goals might knock the stuffing out of villa, but matty and co must ensure the pitch is well sprinklered prior to kickoff.
Exactly, we didnt exactly have the full team squad out, and still managed to completely batter them. Scored 6 great goals, and gave them a goal for the occasion God knows what he was watching! Yes his team had at times a good spell of pressure on us, and had a few chances to score as well, but god knows what he is on about as we were never matched for the game and didnt break a sweat.
His side are definitely quite useful - better than Corby with a few players who can do a bit of damage. They're doing well in their league, where other sides like Stourbridge beat Plymouth and gave Notts County a few scares. But our boys gave Totton a hell of a beating. It was an absolute masterclass in finishing, in doing a really professional job and in keeping the foot on the gas for 90+ minutes.Like all managers he's probably looking for a few positives, we we all know, and the pundits certainly knew, that this was a masterclass and a gulf in class. To be honest, we've had those goals and that sort of performance in us for a while now. Hopefully our lads will draw a lot of confidence from the coverage, the positive reactions from the pundits and with a rub of the green they'll start putting a run in the league together. I've watched those first three goals in particular quite a few times now, and I'm one proud Gashead. We don't get too many days in the spotlight, and to have the pundits giving the lads the praise they deserved was absolutely brilliant. Up the Gas!!
the true interpetation of what the totton manager said can now be published. he said "my lads were absolute b*llocks, played like *rseholes, and were totally outplayed in every department. rovers though only a bsl club were totally dominant although i thought we controlled the park well for the 1st 12 minutes. i wish the giant killers rovers all the best at home to villa but after the game mr buckle may be saying-my lads were b*llocks etc
**Serious comment alert** Maybe your 8 reserves are better than the first team players they replaced?
