TOTTENHAM v WATFORD The Pozzofied Hornets travel to White Hart Lane to avenge their last minute defeat not too long ago over the Xmas period . Tottenham are doing well this season and sitting 3rd in the table, while Watford are exceeding many pundit´s expectations in a lofty 9th position. QSF doesn´t like to change his starting 11 to much, but new arrivals Suarez and Amrabat will want more of the action as so must some of the others that might have splinters. Watford have "a score to settle," especially with Gomes and Capoue as ex-Spurs players. Britos might be back from his illness and the right back spot is up for grabs. Tottenham, well I am not sure of their team news yet, but I sure hope QSF has done his homework and stroked his beard over this one, as he likes a tactical battle. Tottenham are doing well, Watford will need to be at their resilient best to get something away from home here. As Dan has mentioned in another thread there are some tube issues, here it is again just in case someone needs to know, please check - https://tfl.gov.uk/campaign/tube-strike?cid=tube-strike#on-this-page-0 - or support a black cabbie as Uber are killing them! This game will be a massive challenge for us. The Spuds are in great form and are very strong going forward - I suspect that out tactics might be to sit back and catch them on the break, which will be very risky. We could snatch a goal and park the bus and listen to their delightful fans getting frustrated, but I suspect that they will get score. Best we can hope for is a draw - so going for 2-2. If we win, I will not care about any tube strike and I will be in the Champagne Bar at St. Pancras for most of the night.
Thank you Mex - love the match day threads. I am taking my Spurs supporting nephew and sister to this one for his birthday so will have to be on my best behaviour! They really do look the real deal right now so it's going to be very tough but as a few have said we have really played well against the best sides this season even if the results have not been good. Cannot wait!
I have more fear over this one having looked at their goal difference. Just how much last night has taken out of the players remains to be seen, but will the two new men get thrust in and find their feet straight away? I doubt that we can expect a point or three from every game, but maybe if we did we wouldn't be fans of little old Watford.
I have this nagging feeling that Spurs are better away from home currently. The pressure will be on them to perform, not us. I take us to get at least a draw. Back in the 80s Spurs usually won at Vicarage Road and we returned the complement at WHL. We even did it in Klinsmann's days in the League Cup.
Referee: Roger East Linesmen: D Eaton and M Scholes Fourth Official: J Linington Match Day referee East (Wiltshire) has officiated three Watford games this season - the two one victory over Newcastle back in September, the two one loss to Leicester in November and the one nil victory over Newcastle in January. In those games he showed six yellow cards, four to Watford. He has however already taken in 24 other matches so far in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he has handed out a total of 71 yellow cards and one red card. He was most card happy in the match between Portsmouth and Morecambe on August 22 with a total of six yellows being shown plus one red.
They are expecting an easy win (fair enough) and are in good form but maybe if we can keep it to 0-0 for 60/70 minutes the pressure might get to Spurs?
I think Spurs will fade as the season draws to a close. My worry is that that won't start on Saturday.
I don't think that many Spurs fans expect an easy win against anyone. That's just not how we do things! Certainly not against you this season, though. You're tough to beat and make things hard, even when you do lose and that's not often.
Fair enough but a few on your various forum have suggested if your in top gear it will be easy but some were worried about if we kept it tight. I can understand the confidence btw.

¡¡TD9 dropped!! Wonder if QSF told him by phone to let him clam down first! He has played a hell of a lot of games and covered a lot of miles. Must be in need of a rest. Let´s hope the midfield can support Ighalo and he won´t be isolated then!
