Tottenham striker Pavlyuchenko waiting for Villa, Sunderland offers Submitted by tribalfootball.com on Thu, 12/29/2011 - 09:14 Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko is attracting rival Premier League interest. The Daily Mail says Pavlyuchenko is ready to accept a move to Anzhi Makhachkala if he fails to receive any offers from England. The 30-year-old has been offered to QPR and is under consideration at Sunderland and Aston Villa but is not their priority. His representative Oleg Artemov said: "He wasn't against going back to Russia, but not to the Makhachkala-based team, but Pavlyuchenko is tired of the uncertainty and the lack of match action. He has a concrete offer from Anzhi in his hand. This offer is very good and profitable. Roman will accept it unless he gets a better offer." heard the same story on SSN this morning
Think the lure of mega bucks at the Russian club will see him go there mate, a nice thought to have him up here even at 30 definitely a good player just can't see it.
Why do we always go to Spurs, we always get ripped. if these players arnt good enough for spurs, what use are they to us ROG?
He's a cracking player, and would score for fun if he played every week. I have no problem at all taking players who are no longer needed at a team with the quality of Spurs, beats signing players from relegated sides, which seems to be our 'plan b'.
There was a story the other day that Piennar and Kranckjar are both available for 8m for the pair! If it was true I'd hate to think we won't be in for them.
Would love it to be true but, and its a big BUT, is it just the agent saying this looking for his last big pay day out of Pav?
as i said i heard it on SSN as well along with cranky up for grabs, they were also on about Chelsea, apparently Drogba Anelka Lamps and about 3 others are up for sale, also with Villa having to reduce costs and sell 2 of their highest wage earners.
Pienaar left wing, Kranjcaar in the middle and Pav upfront If all 3 are available we should go for all 3 They would all add something we seriously lack Pienaar - pace and can score a few goals Kranjcaar - creativity in the central of midfield, something we seriously lack Pav - goals
Sorry Rog, Only noticed the tribalfootball bit. Thats what made me ever so slightly cynical. Would have Pav, Kranky signed. Plus get Defoe on loan until the summer. get our goals then he can go back to London.
I've said since before the last window closed that we could get both Kranjčar & Pavlyuchenko. Please let it be true. Ps: Come on guys, letâs show them we want them by spelling their names correctly!
Can't be that bad yet, get another inya But I thought you were all for him a month or two back? Gone off anyone you can't spell then With a name like his maybe someone just north could make a sign? What about you?
All of these players would be asked to take a pay cut to come here, and I doubt that many of them will. There are other questions which MON will have to assess - do we need a fast incisive winger or is McClean ready to make the position his own (I take it no one is advocating dropping Larsson on the other side). And do we need a playmaker - how is Riveros shaping up? What I'm saying here is we already have talent that hasn't been used properly. It all needs looking at before lashing out mega-bucks on anybody. The priority is goals, and frankly I wouldn't look beyond Bent. We know he enjoyed the north-east, and I think Sunderland have a more adventurous and supportive midfield now than probably anything since Peter Reid's days. It's made for the man.
