Tottenham Hotspur deleted a tweet that mocked Liverpool after the Reds had all but squandered the Premier League trophy by drawing with Crystal Palace on Monday, having been 3-0 in front at Selhurst Park. The North London club's official Twitter account seemed to taunt Brendan Rodgers' side, posting a short video that represented Liverpool's decline from title favourites to likely also-rans. Squawka Football tweeted a screenshot of the original tweet which read: "Brutal but very funny. The biggest capitulation since Newcastle in the 90s." http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=liverpool We apologise to anyone offended by a recent tweet, which was immediately deleted. This post was not tweeted by anyone affiliated to THFC.
It was ridiculous and we are deserving of ridicule. I hope none of us or the club has moaned about it. We need to grow a pair.
I doubt it Only Spurs fans would have seen it, and they probably have more reason to be offended by it after the shambles of Spurs' season Mocking us for coming 2nd after spending less than half they spent to come 6th just angers true fans
Not offended in the slightest. They had every right to post that feed. Although to say that the person that operates the official twitter feed for a club is "not affiliated with THFC" is a bit absurd. He's the official editor of your Twitter feed. That makes him affiliated with the club. Saying he is not is a patent lie! If he wasn't affiliated it would be one of the "Unofficial" Twitter feeds.
Nothing against what was put - players deserve a bit of stick following last nights debacle but you wouldn't expect it to come from an official club feed - doesn't do their credibility any good Plus who are they to mock a team that might finish 2nd anyway They prob feel more embarrassed as a club for their **** season than anything else and decided to apologise before anyone started asking questions as to why they mocking a team finishing above them.
