Ozil and Aubameyang on the bench. I would have started those two. Ramsey in the team for his last ever NLD. Let's hope he can make it one to remember <ok>

The one positive I can see in that line up is that Iwobi, Ramsey and Mkhitaryan will get back and defend, whereas Ozil and Aubameyang won't.

33-year old Monreal at left-back, error-prone Mustafi at right-back, 19-year old kid Guendouzi in the middle, our most creative player on the bench...what could possibly go wrong?

Emery has a lot to answer for if this doesn't pay off which I don't expect it to.

FFS. This is what Ive been complaining about.

We had a great performance against Bournmouth now a completely different lineup and formation. Ozil doesnt deserved to be dropped again and Aubamayang should be starting without a doubt. This constant rotation is absurd.

Well that was a really good first half from us.

Massive save from Leno at the end of the half there.

Great performance, and a good result.

Shame about the missed penalty, and it could have giant repercussions come the end of the season. Auba never looked confident to me.

Bigger shame their penalty should have never been given due to Kane being offside.

Torreira’s red card I think was harsh. He got the ball and the only reason his studs caught rose way after the challenge because rose momentum took him into torreira. Should have been a yellow IMO. This is unfortunate as torreira is now banned for United.

Two really soft penalties, totally wrong red card at the end, Rose comes in late and Torreira gets the red card because Rose runs into him. Thought Llorentes leading elbow into Kos's head deserved a straight red more, for all the headshaking that went on afterwards. Referee had a really bad day, Spurs obviously came out with the intent to foul in the second half, and he let them get away with it for a good 15 minutes before he picked up on it.

Apart from that for 3/4 of the game Iwobi was useless (IMO), and may have rated a 4/10 by the end. Mikhi was brilliant. I think I like Mustafi best at Right Back, of all our options. He does nothing for us offensively but I think our full-backs are far to offensive anyway and having him there is far better defensively than M-N, Jenko or the Lich. Particularly if we play a back 4, he helps make it a bit more solid, we sort of play a back 3 in transition with Monreal getting up on the other side and don't get caught out quite as bad if we turn the ball over in the middle.

That all said, I think this is where Emery shows his worth. He seems to be able to come up with a viable plan for every game. Obviously, you can't win them all, but most times I can see what he wants to do. This is a new era, he certainly isn't like Wenger, and he isn't just going to put his best 11 on the pitch every time. He is going to mix up the team and the tactics for each game. We might as well get used to it.

1-1 away from home is a decent result.

Shame we didnt get the three points. Refs decisions were pretty terrible but we still should have won it. Auba missed a penalty and Lacazette also missed a couple of absolute sitters.

Overall we were the better team.

The more I think about it the more this result feels like a loss.

Missed the oppurtunity to stay in the top four, close the gap on Tottenham ahead of another tough important game.

If we loose to United next week our chances of a top four finish will decrease significantly.

I think that the fact you are talking about missing out on a chance of a top four finish now compared with how our form was at the turn of the year indicates the see-sawing end to the season for the four teams vying for those 2 places left. We and United are showing some form- we did have some bad luck yesterday - Chelsea are patchy and since Kane returned Spurs have diminished. It's going to be a tense end to the season with every game a must-win

Very unlucky for Arsenal. You should be pleased that away to Spurs it is like a loss getting a draw. It shows that Arsenal is coming back.
Where are all the Arsenal fans on this match thread?

Davinson Sánchez will face no further action following apparent stamp on Laurent Koscielny on Saturday. It was seen by match officials at the time.

<laugh> Absolutely farcical. So Kane gets away with directing a head butt towards Azpilicueta, as the referee said in his match report he saw it, and now the same thing has happened with Sanchez's petulant kick out at Koscielny?

All this proves is how incompetent match officials are.

If they saw the incident as and when it happened, how did they not think it was a straight red card at the time?

Match officials get FAR too much protection for frequently making wrong decisions every single week.

    Sick to death of it.

That's a ridiculous decision. Torriera gets sent off for an accidental kick (yes it was dangerous but there was no intent) and Sanchez who deliberately stamped on Kosceilny gets off free. Utter shambles.

One rule for Spuds and one for us.

Sometimes I think refs take pity on Spurs as they will never win anything
