Here's your match thread, not that you lot deserve it.

I guess you'll probably want some stats too:

    • We've never lost to Limassol
    • We've never lost under Pochettino's management
    • If we lose this game we are idiots
    • I think I heard they're from Cyprus
    • Time to play Khumalo?

Anymore complaints and you can forget about a new match thread for the home leg.

    "AEL Limasshole"

I sense many of the denizens of Palmers/Wood Greek currently trying to track down
the home address of YV at this very moment. :)

That's clearly the badge for a side called AED.

This is their badge for anyone that wants to know:

The last word in that '1930' badge phonetically seems to say : Lemesoy.
    So no D in sight.

    good work YV! :)

I'm a bit lost with the squad at the moment in terms of injuries, as I've struggled to keep up with things this summer. However, based on what I know, this is the team I'd like to see start on Thurs

    Vorm
    Naughton Dier* Dawson Davies
    Paulinho* Dembele
    Lennon Holtby Chadli
    Soldado

    *is Chiriches fit?
    *is Sandro fit?

I thought Dembele was injured, has anyone seend him training?

    I'd go for Vorm
    Naughton, Dawson, Vertonghen/Veljkovic, Davies
    Sandro, Holtby
    Townsend, Lamela, Kane
    Soldado

Townsend, Holtby & Soldado have to start as the best chance these players have of putting in an impressive display is to play in the early stages of the Europa league. Other then that I'm not concerned at all about the team as no matter who we play, we will go through.

Did anyone else have to actually double check they weren't called Limasshole?

    Someone loves Kane

There was talk that he was supposed to be having an operation on this dodgy hip of his. Then he wasn't having it. As far as I know, he hasn't had the op. Unless someone can correct me on that? - So I presumed he was available?

I'll ask you the same re Vertonghen. I thought he was out?

Yeah, I thought I'd read somewhere about Dembele's operation. The others I have no idea about, although I really hope Chiriches and/or Vertonghen are going to be back soon. I don't think we're in too much of a rush for the others.

As far as I know the only injuries that we have are Chiriches and Walker.
With that in mind, I'd go for:

    Vorm
    Naughton Dawson Vertonghen Davies
    Sandro Dembele
    Townsend Holtby Chadli
    Soldado

Subs: Friedel, Fredericks, Fryers, Veljkovic, Carroll, Paulinho, Kane.

Didn't really want to leave Paulinho on the bench, but Holtby deserves a start.

We probably shouldn't take this lot too lightly though, as they did nick a home win against Zenit in the CL qualifiers.
Villas-Boas' side featured the likes of Hulk, Garay, Witsel, Tymoschuck, Criscito and Kerzhakov, with Arshavin relegated to the bench.
It's unlikely that they're going to be surprisingly great, but a loss would be massively embarrassing and we need the games to keep our squad fit and happy.

    According to their website:

    It's all Greek to me.

Check out this though. This is how an official site should operate: http://translate.googleusercontent....s=1806&usg=ALkJrhiHB5m_aejAyBy6pp-cipUosc2wxQ

They came second in their league, dropping from first place on the last game of the season. Ooops!

Their last meaningful game was 31/05/2014, which they lost (see above)

    This is them: http://www.aelfc.com/uploads/news/1407576361.jpg

Top row, second in from the left. He should be tested before, during and after the game.

Look guys I have to go to Cyprus on a regular basis. I would appreciate a little more respect shown towards Limassol otherwise I could be in serious trouble when I arrive at Larnaka airport with my Spurs cap on.

    PLEASE!

Where's the f**ing "They played for both" YV? I mean come on man, sort it out, what's the matter with you?! :D :1980_boogie_down:

Vorm's not in the squad for the early qualifiers guys (on an individual regime at the moment - so may have returned back from the WC out of shape?) so you can rule him out and therefore likely expect Brad to be playing one of his very last games I'd imagine.
