Son and Richarlison back. Good news that, hopefully Son can start. If Richarlison can get 15 minutes tomorrow then there might be a chance we can reach for 60 or so on Thursday for him.
Will Antonio play ? one of those player that always raises their game against us but I still think we will have too much for them 3-1
I can remember when the first division used to be every Saturday at 3pm. And football was played in the winter. There weren't so many injuries because players just sank into the nice soft mud.
I dislike this fixture with a passion, my work place is infested by Spammers and they are all loud and obnoxious. Our recent record in this game is nothing to write home about either so I approach today with a great deal of trepidation. I don't know the stats but I have a feeling that our record on Saturday lunchtimes is poor, I have predicted a Spurs win in both prediction leagues and so far they have underwhelming in the league, so this all points to another 90 mins of frustration! Last season we battered them only for outrageous good fortune to present them with 2 goals they needed to win the game. In Bowen, Kudus and Antonio they have the perfect players to pick us off and I fear that we will once again have lots of the ball and end up on the wrong side of the result. I have feeling that we will be unchanged with Sonny starting on the bench.
Keep the faith, TCM. It’s gonna be 8th time lucky for Ange in a derby! Bloody hope Son starts though, not sure I can handle any more of Werner for my sanity. In seriousness and it probably sounds like a “well duh” type of post but after the Brighton game I think we’re either going to annihilate West Ham with a superb bounce back performance, or we will indeed labour to another disappointing loss/ draw. I don’t see us getting a scrappy win or anything which will still be more than fine, it’s either going to be sheer jubilation or utter misery and I’m praying it won’t be the latter. We desperately need these 3 points both in terms of the table and our abysmal record in derbies.
Whatever happens at least we care, which is more than I can say about pointless internationals with temporary coaches. I am very happy to have a Spurs game back after what seems like yet another prolonged, unwanted interruption to our season. Yes I know there are more to come.
So, after browsing the "International break" and "physio watch" articles, I assume there are no new additions to the squad walking wounded list.
Spence doesn’t even make the squad now. Like I said on the transfer thread, very surprised why he signed a new deal other than presumably financial reasons. It’s even worse when you see Werner still manages to make it.
WTF is that all about??? I only hope he has just picked up a minor knock to rule him out, because otherwise it makes no sense. Udogie is first choice on the left I know, but he's hardly been perfect and Spence has performed more than adequately in his stead. Otherwise the team looks solid enough, although you just know that Bowen and probably Antonio will have seasons-best performances
