    Sunday 24th October 2pm
    Premier League
    London Stadium

Pacos Away Part II is out of the way and we're back to screwing up other people's cup finals.
The latest in a series of somewhat derby matches takes us to the imaginatively named London Stadium.
I think that it's fair to say that the other games in this run have not gone well.
Espirito Santo took a big risk by leaving behind his entire starting XI for our match in Holland.
Will the second half of that gamble pay off or will he be left with rather a lot of egg on his face?

David Moyes first full season since his return went rather well for him and the club.
Two Czech signings did a lot better than expected and Lingard's loan boosted the 2nd half of the campaign.
Not having a toxic atmosphere from their fanbase probably helped, too.
They've started this one pretty decently and dealt with the additional fixtures, so far.
7th in the league, top of their Europa group and they put Moyes' old side out of the League Cup, too.

Our trip to Stratford last time was pretty appalling, overall.
A controversial early Antonio goal put them ahead and Lingard doubled it after the break to make it 2-0.
Moura pulled one back with a header from a corner and the rest was a tale of wasted chances.
Kane crossed to Alli and Bale, but neither could put it away, as the Welshman hammered one off the bar.
Coufal's deflected clearance off Son came next, as the ball bounced off the Korean and hit the post:

The game at our place was also one to forget, but for rather different reasons.
Early goals from Son and Kane put us 3-0 up with 16 minutes gone and it stayed like that for a long time.
Kieran Tierney's dad and some shambolic defending saw us throw it away at the death, though:

Doherty and Sessegnon are probably our only absences for this one.
Coufal and Kral may miss out for the hosts. Neither side has any suspensions.

Lineups for each side's last league game:

Spurs: Lloris; Royal, Romero, Dier, Reguilon; Hojbjerg, Skipp; Moura, Ndombele, Son; Kane.
Subs: Gollini, Tanganga, Sanchez, Davies, Winks, Lo Celso, Alli, Bergwijn, Gil.
    League form: WLLLWW.

West Ham: Fabianski; Johnson, Zouma, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Rice, Soucek; Bowen, Benrahma, Fornals; Antonio.
Subs: Areola, Ashby, Baptiste, Dawson, Diop, Masuaku, Lanzini, Vlasic, Yarmolenko.
    League form: DDLWLW.

Ref: ****ing Paul Tierney, again. **** off. VAR: Jarred Gillett (AUS).

    TV: Sky Sports.

How would you like to line up for this one?
Would you stick with much of the same lineup from the Vitesse game, tinker a little or change it completely?
Which system and tactics would you use and what are you expecting West Ham to go with?

Barring any late injuries I think we all know how we’re lining up for this, lol.

Hopefully one or two are dropped from the squad though, albeit I doubt that’ll happen.

And I’ll repeat what I’ve said on the Vitesse thread, we not only have to win but win well after last night’s fiasco and decisions. Anything less and I pray to the footballing gods he’s sacked.

This is quite close to the date 8 years ago in 2013,
when AVB Spurs faced the Spanners at WHL

We know how that turned out.

With the result yesterday Nuno has effectively bet his house
on getting a result from this game. Any repeat of the previous
London derby games this season, and his position must be
    untenable.

I would not have been so bold, given a squad that obviously
has no on-pitch spine when things go a bit pear-shaped, and
apparently feels no burning pride to similarly front up if it would
    save your job.

Weds nights gamble - if we lose tomorrow - will see Nuno gone by November.
Difficult to see any other outcome.

West Ham are confident in what they are doing.
The manager trusts the the players and the players trust the manager.
They try to attack whenever possible and play to the strengths of their players.
They work as a team and fight for every loose ball.

They are currently, everything we aren't.

They will be disappointed with anything less than a win tomorrow and most people would be surprised if they don't win.

That pretty much sums up why this season is only going to get uglier on the pitch and in the stands.

So it is. The Premier League ref page normally has it when we're on Sky, so I didn't check.
    I'll update it.

That sums up exactly how far we have fallen in 2 years. Very sad state of affairs!

Not really, given they're disappointed when they don't beat us every year

It hasn't even done that, since they somehow turned into the 1988 Dutch team when we played them every season under Poch

I guess we know which of their CBs will make a costly error then...

It's the only London derby (of London's big 4) that is a 50/50 in my view.

West Ham you'd have to say a marginally the better team but the best players on the pitch will all be THFC players.

Should be an interesting game, things could go south real fast for whoever loses.

Agree with most of that except the last sentence.
Defeat for WH is less significant for them. Defeat for Spurs, particularly a 'bad' defeat will likely be season-finishing. At the very least it will bring more managerial upheaval.

Watching that 3 - 3 again it shows how football hangs on moments and millimeters. So close to being 5 - 2 to Spurs and in the end 3 - 3 which then infected the rest of our season and finally led to goodbye Jose. It makes you wonder what might have been with a 5 - 2 result.

No confidence in today at all. West Ham look full of fight and purpose while Spurs look lacking in both.

Think this is actually the first time in a long while where we’re truly the underdog against West Ham. Hard to remember for a while where it’s genuinely been like this. Whether we’ve won or lost in past games we generally went into the game as the favourite.

I still reckon player quality favours us but team cohesion, style, tactics and manager is in their favour right now.

2-1 in the bookies for a Spurs win how long since that happened against West Ham
