please log in to view this image Wednesday 22nd January 7.30pm Premier League Tottenham Hotspur Stadium A draw and a clean sheet away from home wasn't too bad, but the game against Watford was mixed, at best. Three games in the league this season and we've scored no goals. That's just awful. Playing at home against the bottom side in the division should be the perfect fixture to break that run. Norwich haven't been too bad recently though, winning their last game and only losing one of the last five. Can we finally remember where the goal is or will we fail to beat the Canaries this season? It's not been too long since we've played our visitors, to the extent that our result appears in their form guide. They've progressed in the FA Cup, beat fellow strugglers Bournemouth and drawn with Palace since then. They also got pulverised by Man Utd 4-0, so there's some vulnerability there to exploit. Here are the highlights of their weekend victory and our draw at Carrow Road to consider: Davies, Kane and Sissoko are still out, but Lloris and Ndombele have returned to training with the squad. Buendia, Klose, Fahrmann and Vrancic miss out for the visitors through injury, while Godfrey is suspended. Lineups for each side's last league game: Spurs: Gazzaniga; Aurier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Tanganga; Lo Celso, Winks, Alli; Lamela, Moura, Son. Subs: Vorm, Sanchez, Dier, Skipp, Sessegnon, Fernandes, Eriksen. League form: LWDLLD. Norwich: Krul; Aarons, Zimmermann, Godfrey, Byram; McLean, Tettey; Buendia, Duda, Cantwell; Pukki. Subs: Fahrmann, Hanley, Lewis, Trybull, Rupp, Hernandez, Drmic. League form: LLDDLW. Ref: Chris Kavanagh. VAR: Graham Scott. TV: Not televised. How would you like to line up for this one and what would you change from the Watford game? Would you stick with much of the same lineup, make a few changes or go for a wholesale switch? Which system and tactics would you use and what are you expecting Norwich to go with?
Unfortunately, there are a lot of tickets available on the Ticket Exchange. A whole lot...in every part of the stadium.
Unsurprising. High ticket prices + **** football = Lack of interest and attendance. I'll be there though, as always, stupidly clinging to the hope we'll turn the corner.
Me too. I've got my younger brother's season ticket for the for the rest of the season....after that, I'll have little difficulty in getting my own.
We'll more likely turn the corner when Eriksen is packed off to Inter, as that will not only shake off some uncertainty of players such as Lo Celso getting regular starts but also reduce the chances of seeing him play in central midfield in spite not being suited for it to zero
Switch Lamela with Gio and that's a sound line-up. Decent game for Gedson to start getting up to speed. At home, against a team who aren't all that (yet we will still make them look like PSG). I doubt he has the fitness to last more than 60-70 minutes, which would be a good time to introduce the lesser-spotted Tanguy N'Dombele. However, you and I both know he'll probably line up like this: Gazza Aurier Toby Jan Tanganga Winks Alli Moura Eriksen Lo Celso Son We might as well rebrand and use Aurier's face as the club crest. He must have some dirty secrets about Levy on a USB somewhere as the entire team now more or less revolves around him.
Gutted I can't go...cheapest I can find is £46 for me and £34 for the teenbeast plus £3 booking fee...£83 ... with travel it'll be over £100...excluding a programme and food...joke pricing for a category c match imho
That's a calculation that lots of people seem to have done. It was around this time a year ago that we got 29,000 odd against Watford on a very cold midweek night. At least, it looks better than that. Although, I reckon that there will be a lot of no shows who haven't bothered to put tickets on the exchange.
It is. I rarely go to games due to timing/cost but for the first time since probably the days of Ramos I've noticed at least 5 of my friends trying to sell their tickets and recoup the £45-50. They just don't see it as a worthwhile investment anymore, which is sad but tbh not at all surprising.
We were at that game at wembley last season ... it was a **** load cheaper than this one. My memory is that it was around £60 for the two of us. £83 plus booking fees is pricing us out. Could afford to go on my own but wanna go with the teen beast. Have saved money so am gonna try for thd CL mstch for us but that'll be harder cos it'll be a match that the "less committed" want to go to *cough plastics cough* Got to be honest...it really feels like the club is taking us for granted
I'm hearing a lot of disgruntled voices. Whilst the team are playing well, people will put up with it but there is always a tipping point and a lot of people can see theirs.. If you're paying over a grand for a season ticket, you want a proper bang for your buck. Currently, it's a damp squib and I know a number of loyal, long-term season ticket holders who are considering giving next season a miss. Announcing a few signings before the renewals go out wouldn't do any harm, if you're listening, Daniel...
Jose confirmed Tanguy will be in the squad but isn’t fit for 90 mins (as expected). Finally a bit of good news. Really hope Gedson starts tomorrow, he too probably won’t be ready for 90 so it could be ideal to give him 60-65 and then Tanguy the rest.
The Artist Formerly Known As ****ssoko has spoken Surprised he's still on Twitter, given he was advocating that we murder Joe Lewis last summer...
