Because if we didn't use matches where there's less riding on it to start players who aren't regulars in the side then we would have had to rely on injuries for the likes of Kane, Mason, Winks, etc to prove themselves. If we didn't have injuries we wouldn't have seen such a quick rise from Alli. The more experience we can get players and the quicker we can get them that experience the better. The more players we have coming through the more we can save money and look to invest that in keeping our best players and improving areas where the players that come in aren't good enough. And if we don't rotate then we won't be able to keep back up players of the quality of Vorm and would find it harder to keep them in decent form if they're only appearing a handful of times a season. Personally, I'd prefer that we fielded a strong team tonight and maybe make 2 or 3 changes for Hull but whilst I get that some will want us to rotate in the league, I think it's important we take opportunities like this to look to the future. It's just a shame that the likes of Winks, Onomah, Walker-Peters, Carter-Vickers and Edwards aren't available so we probably only have 4 options, that aren't already certainties for the door, with Janssen, N'Koudou, Sterling and Vorm.
I'd like us to have the best GD again, and would appreciate any individual accomplishments. We can be pretty sure of one, which is that Christian Eriksen will be the hardest working man in the PL. He's first in distance covered. Dele is fifth or so, I think.
Eriksen's covers the most average distance per game, while Sigurdsson comes top on total distance for the season and 6th on average per game. Capoue is 8th on total distance, Alli's 10th. Kante's 5th and 4th, unsurprisingly. No Arsenal or City player makes the top 10 of either list, while Milner, Henderson and Firmino make it for Liverpool. Alonso and Cahill both pop up for Chelsea, in addition to the previously mentioned Kante.
I'm confused. Looking at a variety of sites that say he has hit 19 goals in total this season, as follows: 12 PL 6 Cup 1 CL For a total of 19.
While the source is Squawka, therefore is as questionable as Croydon Council loaning £3m of taxpayer's money to the Boxpark owners who were obviously trying to suppress their laughter the whole time, there's a suggestion that we might be fielding a "creative" formation this evening due to the various injuries/U20 callups/players unable to play twice in a week. We're going the full Bielsa, aren't we? Lloris Dier Alderweireld Vertonghen Sissoko Wanyama Duncan (?) Son Alli Eriksen Kane

Dylan Duncan's the only other central midfielder on our books I could think of, and he's still in the Academy sides.
... but if Dele is playing ... no respite in sly kicks, punches, stamps and hissy fits towards our lads ... and throwing himself backwards into defenders to try and con a pen of course ... PS we'll probably boo Harry Kane every time he gets the ball for not scoring enough goals when he was with us ... and for not being able to pronounce the word "sarsaparilla" without excessive amounts of spit
According to Tom Collomose... Wait, wait, come back! It gets better! According to Tom Collomose, we'll be including Samuel Shashoua and Filip Lesniak in the squad for this evening. Shashoua Hype Train...ACTIVATE!!!
