All Croatian team of officials. TV: TNT Sports 1. How would you like to line up for this one and how do you think we actually will line up?
Should be similar to last week Vicario, Gray, Romero, Van De Ven, Davies, Bissouma, Sarr, Bergvall, Johnson, Solanke and Moore (we know it will be Werner). Hopefully get well ahead and give minutes to the youngsters (it never pans out that way with Spurs!)
I am loathe to start both Micky and Romero. I think perhaps Davies with Romero would be a good shout but then Udogie could do with a rest. In an ideal world Spence would be left back and gray right back but that’s not going to happen. We have just started to pick up form and it would be typically Spursy to lose our first choice centre backs for a long period by overplaying them
Must admit I fear more for Udogie at the moment than the CBs (cue a standard DH jinx for van de Ven or Romero now), I think his role is so demanding. We’ve afforded Porro rests against Cov and Qarabag but Udogie has played in every game. In terms of CB though, whilst I doubt he’ll start, I do wonder if Dorrington will make the trip to Hungary. He’s been back fit the last couple weeks so could be an opening for him. Edit: Just seen that like Moore and Lankshear, he’s also not in tonight’s squad to face Dagenham and Redbridge so I imagine he’s definitely travelling to Hungary.
That's uncanny, from what I can see past the glare of his teeth. Never get Brazilian dental work, I guess. He's a new signing for them and didn't even start that match. Came off the bench in the 64th minute and scored in the 65th, 77th and 82nd.
Who are the designated 4th CB, and 2nd LB/RB, in the UEFA squad ?? If starting XI rotation is going to happen, then these are the positions that need resolving. At the moment all I see is Davies as 2nd LB (which means he shouldn't be deemed 4th CB) .
This was my guess a couple posts up, the second LB should’ve been Spence but Ange thought four GKs was more important.
The problem is that the two GKs who Ange deems the worst are club trained so leaving them out is pointless as we have no-one to replace them. He seems to only rate them as emergency backups so wants both Vicario and Foster in the squad. The possible defenders are Porro, Gray, Van der Ven, Romero, Dragusin, Dorrington, Davies and Udogie. Plus any club trained under 21 player or playing someone out of position. I wonder if Sarr could play left back?
But that is the grievance fans have with his decision, as many don’t think Forster (these days) is any better than Austin. Most fans wouldn’t want any other keeper but Vicario starting in Europa games too. Leaving Spence out of the squad is already showing implications due to Udogie’s current situation of being overused. The fact Spence has also played well in every cameo he’s made this season, coupled with his good pre-season form, makes dropping him from the squad an even further poor choice.
Dorrington (as predicted) and Cassanova have both travelled, so we might see one of them feature. Reguilon’s also gone… despite the fact he isn’t in the Europa squad. Odd. Probably find out the club forgot, will play him, then we’ll get expelled from the comp.
Perhaps we plan to leave him behind at the airport and hope that someone else claims him from lost property
