Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday? Wonderful planning. Expect total changes and a strikerless team. Can Mourinho make it work anyway? Probably not. Bale, Son and Tanganga are injured. Sissoko didn't look that ill, so he may feature. Gilmour and van Ginkel are out for Chelsea, while Pulisic, Ziyech and Mendy face tests. Neither side has any suspensions. Lineups for each side's last league game: Spurs: Lloris; Doherty, Sanchez, Dier, Davies; Winks, Hojbjerg; Moura, Lo Celso, Son; Kane. Subs: Hart, Alderweireld, Reguilon, Fernandes, Ndombele, Lamela, Bergwijn. Chelsea: Caballero; James, Christensen, Silva, Alonso; Kovacic, Kante; Mount, Havertz, Werner; Abraham. Subs: Kepa, Azpilicueta, Tomori, Jorginho, Barkley, Hudson-Odoi, Giroud. Ref: Lee Mason. TV: Sky Sports. How would you like to line up for this one and what would you change from the Newcastle game? Would you stick with much of the same lineup, make a few changes or go for a wholesale switch? Which system and tactics would you use and what are you expecting Chelsea to go with?
I'd go with: Gazzaniga Aurier Foyth Alderweireld Reguilon Fernandes Sissoko Ndombele Sessegnon Lamela Alli Stick a bunch of kids on the bench.
I've noticed the Twitter/Reddit crowd are creating a Narrative about how Eric Dier's cost us a goal in our last three league games Sure, as long as we ignore Sanchez being at fault for Ings' goal, Alderweireld being in no man's land against Everton, and the officials apparently having an accumulator on yesterday, but I think we'll be hearing a lot more about this in the next day or so...
I think we’ll see: Hart Aurier, Sanchez, Toby, Reguilon Gedson, Sissoko, Ndombele Lamela, Dele, Bergwijn
Maybe Sessegnon for Ndombele to keep him for the EL/PL games. Sessegnon and Gedson can then drop in for Reguillon and Aurier. Wings busy in relays and extra defenders if under pressure. Wonder if Chelsea will have the first team out?
I say send out the U23s and if they get knocked out, so what? Our first team have 90 minutes less wear and tear considering we've got our Europa playoff on Thursday and a match against (pen) on Sunday
None of the players in DH's team (except Ndombele) is part of our first team. Reguillon will be, but needs games. Problem is it leaves the first team playing Thursday/Sunday
Honestly, I'm finding it hard to get invested in this season because there's too bloody much of it, to the point that we barely have time to talk about the game that just finished when we have to talk about the next one which kicks off in 48 hours. It's more exhausting than remembering that Gavin Williamson exists Coincidentally, this is also why I gave up on the Guitar Hero franchise, as there was no point getting hyped for one game when another would be along in a few weeks...
It's looking like Dier and Winks are the candidates for this season's Lightning Rod, although Dier's certainly leading the polls right now
I think they’ll go for a strong team. This is still a London Derby that no one will really want to lose it’s just that we’re more congested than they are so we’ll likely field a B team, Jose is 0-2 against Frank so far though so I doubt he’d happily make that 0-3 without a fight.
Chelsea should be at 100%. They played on Saturday and they're at home this Saturday, too. They may rotate a bit or change things up because they started so badly against West Brom, but they don't have fixture congestion.

Someone has probably told him that Spurs are meant to be playing 4 games every 8 days, all season. And he believed it.
Especially now there's a theory doing the rounds (emphasis for...well, emphasis) that signing Skriniar is tied to securing Europa qualification Sort of makes sense, as we get £15m for reaching the group stage, which will offset the reported £40m fee somewhat
