Thursday 24th October 8pm
Europa League Group Stage
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Too early for any injury news, but Odobert is probably still unavailable.
Neither side has any suspensions.

Lineups for each side's last league game:

Spurs: Vicario; Porro, Romero, van de Ven, Udogie; Kulusevski, Bissouma, Maddison; Johnson, Solanke, Son.
Subs: Forster, Dragusin, Gray, Sarr, Bentancur, Bergvall, Moore, Werner, Richarlison.
League form: LLWWLW.

Alkmaar: Owusu-Oduro; Maikuma, Penetra, Dekker, Wolfe; Clasie, Belic; Poku, Mijnans, van Bommel; Parrott.
Subs: Verhulst, Zoet, Kasius, de Wit, Berkhout, Koopmeiners, Smit, Buurmeester, Kwakman, Lahdo, Addai.
League form: WWWLLL.

Ref: Manfredas Lukjančukas (LTU). VAR: Sören Storks (GER).

TV: TNT Sports 1.

How would you like to line up for this one and how do you think we actually will line up?

Think AZ will provide our sternest test so far so I’d be a bit mindful of that with selection. There’ll be changes but I’d be surprised if there’s wholesale ones.

Vicario
Gray, Romero, Dragusin, Davies
Sarr, Bentancur, Kulu
Johnson, Solanke, Son

Moore, Bergvall and Richarlison getting good minutes in the second half ideally with the aim of getting Kulu, Son and Johnson off.

Go strong but Radu needs a start (hopefully won’t get sent off this time) and Moore should start too.

Definitely more of a test than the opening two games but still should be a routine win if Spurs want to show they’re amongst the favourites.

Werner will either start or be the first sub. It’s the Ange way and Ange seems determined to play Werner into form (imo that’s impossible)

Am going with my eldest daughter
COYS

I am going too, with both my brothers and assorted offspring (6 of us in total), we have inflicted the joys of being a Spurs fan on 6 out of the 8 children who are all in their 20s and are well are aware of the ups and downs already, though my middle son is an unusually positive Spurs fan and he will be with us and he gets to more games than most of us and has been to a decent number of wins. Though i can counter that as we were both been at European matches that saw us thrashed by Bayern, defeated by RB Leipzig & Monaco and eliminated after drawing with Milan and Gent. But on a positive note we have seen more wins than losses in our reasonably frequent attendance at European matches in the last 10 - 15 years.

As for the game I expect a few changes but a strong line up akin to the ones CK & DH suggest and hopefully we will take our chances and we will get to see the likes of Moore.

And whilst I never go expecting a Spurs win and I go in the hope that we will turn up and beat opponents that we should be beating if are going to make progress in this competition and justify our position amongst the favourites.

Ange has said Son was sore after West Ham and was never going to play against AZ regardless.

Sounds “promising” in the sense he’s just probably resting up after only recently returning.

Says Odobert could well feature but they’ll be careful with him.

Will need close to the strongest PL starting XI
for the Citeh game, so if possible I would like
Richarlison + Dragusin to start this and the Palace game
(saving at least Son + VDV for that end) .

Davies to start this one I guess.
Moore is ok given this one is a home tie.

LB/RB rotation is still a big issue.
