According to IMScouting Tottenham have asked Celtic that Robbie Keane doesn't train for two days after playing in away games in the SPL. Apparently they don't have a problem with him playing at Celtic Park, Ibrox or Hampden but that all the other pitches in the SPL are not good enough and are aggravating his bad knee. Makes sense I suppose, a lot of the SPL pitches are nothing short of disgraceful. I don't agree with fining teams for a bad pitch though. All it will do is kill the Scottish game; putting clubs to the wall by fining them for bad weather and poor finances. Motherwell have recorded a loss for the first time in 7 years because of the cost of relaying their pitch twice and being fined by the SPL because of it. Add in reduced TV money and it won't be long until we lose a big team forever.
