Came across this story "Tottenham Hotspur target 10 deals in 10 days before transfer window closes.
With 10 days left until the close of the transfer window, Tottenham are seeking to do as many as 10 deals in and out of the club. "

Basically they want to get in the fella from madrid and that other fella from man city, you know diarra and adebayor. but they need to shift players first.

Who do you think if any newcastle could and should go for?

Who from the list would add something from newcastle?

who do you reckon and why?

Palacios, crouch, jenas, bassong, bentley, hutton, and kranjcar.

I reckon Nico, and bentley defo. and i have always liked bassong.

Not a massive fan, if I'm honest.

Hutton could be a decent shout though. How does he compare to Simmo? I'm not sure. Played for the mackems though...

 

Don't think we need Krancjar tbh. Bassong I would take.

 

Im not entrilely understanding why Llambias and Ash dont want Bassong back. They b*mmed him when he was here.

If only for the reason to say we spent £500k, sold for £8mil, bought back for £4mil. Hahaha arent we so clever.

Lots of very good available players, but ones we could actually do with? Defoe and/or Pavlyuchenko for me.

Kranjcar has undoubted quality but we have Jonas, Marveaux, Ferguson, Barton, Obertan and even Gosling on the wings. Same for Palacios, has the quality but not an area we need to strengthen. Bassong very good as well but I dont like bringing ex players back and would he even get a game the way Taylor and Colo are playing? Dont rate Bentley, Jenas, Crouch or Hutton much.

 

Gotta be Pav and Kranjcar

 

i think people underrate crouch, id take him in a beat, and defo bassong.

 

If only mike ashley knew what he was doing, fantastic chance to grab some player, on the cheap i reckon, stoke and sunderland and similar teams will be going all out i reckon.

 

I'd take Defoe and Bassong although our defence is looking strong at the moment there's not really any depth to it.

I think Bentley's a poor man's Barton, meaning he's the same kind of player (not much pace, much more of a distributor) but without the passion and willingness to get stuck in.

 

Bassong and Pav. That'd be our LB and striker issue sorted. Plus Bassong provides extra cover for CB

 

Yeah RW cover which I think we could do with!

Personally I think we need, in this order:
Decent LB
Decent Striker
LB cover
Decent RB
RW cover
CB cover

 

How much RW cover do we need?

Barton, Jonas, Ryan Taylor, Obertan, Marveaux, Gosling - All of those can play there!
Bentley would add nothing except a guy who's not going to put in much effort, for big wages.
It's not like we've got a ton of CL or UEFA Cup games to play, so we don't need that much cover.

Bassong is the only one that's worthwhile going for - But only if his wages are low.

 

we could do with another midfielder...

 

I'd take Hutton. He might have played for the mackems but so did Simmo and Hutton is better.

 

I think when mancini names his 25 players for the season we could get better players on loan rather than redknapps castoffs
