Now then, Just to get away from the religion, politics and general lemming following, just how fcukin good was Mick Ronson playing that white Les Paul? Downloaded Bowie 'live' in Santa Monica the other night from 72. Cracking album and as a cynic for the hairs on my back to rise, then Ronson does that.... Have a great weekend lads, ktf, ftm & Ha'waaaaaaaaay the laaaaaaaaaaaads..
Knew you would be in like a ferret GT.. No Mickey Ralphs was the Motts lead but left to join Bad Company..
Do you remember Jo Jo Gunne GT? had a song called run run run in 72/73, tried to cash in on the underground music at the time, do a few guitar solos etc and make it sound good. Liked it at the time, but thats me lol..
Vaguely recall Jo Jo Gunne but would not have got the song. Grateful to makemdan post with lyrics. I was into some strange stuff in them days away from the mainstream Mountain, sabbath etc inc Beckett, Stackridge and a few other bands who never quite made it.
I was a big fan of 'three man army', Faust, and early Hawkwind. Spent a night at a party in Durham after Hawkwind played Dunelm, with the band there and roadies. Tapped a girl up called Tracey, she had platform yellow boots on under denim loom pants, always remember that night in so many smiling ways but more so for jamming with Lemme whilst sharing a joint and Nick Turner shagging a lass on the floor in front of us. Hey, we were gentlemen, we didn't look ..
Bloody hell "Faust" that is going back a bit. Had a couple of Hawkwind LPs. Damn good band especially when my ex maths teacher used to supply our, shall we say stimulants, for us.
Just converted the Slaughter on tenth Avenue LP from vinyl to iTunes. Reminded me of just how good he was
