A couple of interesting snippets from tonight’s podcast. Ross Stewart should be back in training tomorrow and he, Lallana and Sulemana are targeting playing in the Carabou Cup. And reference the loan signing of Lesley, the car sent to pick him up had a puncture on the M3, leaving Lesley hanging around. RM sent his own driver to collect him and deliver him to his home, where he was given dinner and they both had a good chat.

A great episode guys. I found the analysis of the management situation particularly insightful, in that the longer the board wait to sack Russell, the smaller the pool of potential replacements becomes.

I watched the latest podcast live and they raised a valid point about VAR. If a much more senior ref on VAR tells a much more junior ref to take a look at the tv screen, to check for a possible foul etc, is the more junior ref likely to have the balls to tell the more senior ref that he is wrong and that he is sticking with his original decision? Had me thinking that maybe the identity of the VAR officials should be kept from the match day refs, so that they don’t feel as if they are under pressure of a senior referee to change their mind. I can’t remember the last time I actually saw a ref overrule VAR.
Make them inhale helium so that their voices match the stupid reasons they interrupt the game for, then broadcast the conversation over the stadium tannoy system so that the fans of the team about to be ****ed over still have something to smile about.
