Just wondering if you could pick one player to spend the rest of their career at southampton, who would it be. Someone that on paper should be big like Ramirez, someone we love like lallana, or one for the future like Luke shaw. Or a hero like Tommy Forecast

I'll pick Shaw, on the basis that Lallana probably will anyway.

It would be nice if Morgan stayed, considering he's had chances to move to bigger teams in the past, and indeed turned down Arsenal to join us (plus he turned down P*mpey too).

Ramirez because in 5 years time he will be one of the top players in Europe, if not the world.

Player = Lallana, but for the good of Saints = Nicola.

I'd agree with this, but I'd still pick Lallana just incase. I genuinely believe he could be a club icon by the time he retires.

Head says Ramirez, heart says Lallana.

In a dream world I'd want Ramirez, Lallana, Shaw, Schneiderlin and Clyne! That would be just swell. Thinking about it I'd be quite happy for most of our players to see out their career with us, which seems quite daft considering our position in the table, but I just love them all so much. :emoticon-0152-heart

Numerous great talents currently playing for our football club.....but the only ever constant will be us.

We've had some great servants over the years but football for quite some time now is a different animal.

Sorry about the negativity guys but nowadays loyalty is not a trait I expect from players, managers and landlords of football clubs.

Kelvin Davis. Not just for the remainder of his playing days but well beyond. Who knows, maybe one day he will manage the club!

Ha ha! I know the feeling. When thinking about the upcoming transfer window I realised I wouldn't be overly happy seeing any of our current players displaced from the starting line-up with the exception of a GK. My head knows we need to improve the squad, but I wouldn't want to be the person to relegate Schneiderlin, Cork, Lambert etc to the bench.

Conclusion : I'm a sentimental fool, who would make a shocking football manager.

Lambert. He's worked so hard to get to the top that seeing him head back to the lower league would be quite sad.

Add Ward-Prowse to that. He's going to be awesome.

Morgan, he went down with us, had chances to bail out but stuck with us, he just needs to work on his scoring <whistle>

JWP or Luke for me. If they are able to stick around it will also mean that they have done as well as we hope.
