Probably! But there are many other options. Hasn't really changed in over 50 years though. Still got the accent! Unassuming and simply getting on with things.
I was in the school queue for my third of a pint of milk (remember them with the pink straw?) when whispers went round about him being sold. Taxi drivers were talking about it for decades.
I went up to Sheffield united mid week the first game after he had been transfered to Liverpool we got beat that night,im just glad he was not on that train home,we did not win another game and promotion was lost. But now after all these years it still hurts ,but i wish him all the best in his recovery from covid. You say the best player to play for City i disagree whittingham in his hayday was by far the best. But we will proberly agree to disagree.
Maybe he wanted to give something back to City when touting for a return in 1978 but the foolish short sighted board played it safe by keeping Andrews on rather than taking a punt on him. One Welsh clubs loss painfully was another one’s gain.
Totally agree with you William. Tosh needed the players around him to create space and opportunities. Whitts created them for others and took many of his own chances, quite a lot spectacularly.
