What you on about Dev ? Don't think Torres did anything amywhere near as bad as biting . In fact he was unlucky to be sent off .
Hardly comparable to Saurez biting though was it . Have you seen that ****s teeth ? He could eat an apple through a tennis racket ffs
He was lucky NOT to be sent off for raking his nails down Vertongen's face. Or is this okay nowadays? please log in to view this image
A point I made on another thread. Biting and now Scratching, all we need is hair pulling and we have Playground full house.
Mourinho was also dismissive of the suggestion that Torres should have been shown a straight red for scratching Vertonghen’s face in the first half, an offence which could see the striker punished retrospectively. ‘It doesn’t look good from Fernando,’ said Mourinho, ‘but it looks worse when a player pretends he’s injured. You can lose control and explode in the heat of game but pushing the referee for a bad decision I really don’t like.’ Mourinho claimed Vertonghen’s over-reaction was part of a wider problem of foreign players feigning injury to gain favour with officials. ‘I think this is about the game and especially in this country,’ he said. ‘I learned before I came here what the game is and the principles you have to play by. When I arrived here in 2004, I had a couple of players from other countries and I had to educate them because England is England and not other countries. ‘In other countries, people say, “Oh, the guy was clever, he was very intelligent, he pretends that it is a penalty or a red card”. They say, “This player is really amazing”. That’s not the case in England, that’s why I don’t think the referee is guilty. ‘Maybe I’m old fashioned and the last one that cares about this. I’m not English but it is one of these things: don’t kill the show for millions of people just because you want to be clever. It’s a disgrace that you can do what he did to someone else in the same job. Hopefully the committee will remove Fernando’s suspension and give it to Vertonghen instead.’ You could not take a blowtorch to Mourhino's neck
And he should have got sent off for that . He didn't though and was eventually sent off because verthonking went down like Ian Blacks coupon when he hadn't been touched . Hair pulling happens all the time as well . Pure big girls blouse behaviour but alas that is the calibre of the modern day footballer . Buncha ****s . No point in getting bent all out of shape about it though .
Watching the game you knew that one of the two would walk . Verthonken lifted his hands to Torres a couple of minutes before Torres did that to him . He also took a dive for both Torres bookings . I actually pretty much agree with Jose . Fiegning injury or taking a dive in order to get a player semt off is far worse than blousey handbags . Although he has got a bit off a cheek because Chelsea is chocca block with cheating ****s
I personally don't happen to think Verongen was guilty of anything. Torres tripped him and then clawed his face. Vertongen was not happy with either offence and neither would I have been. In the red card incident Vertongen may well have feigned injury (The jury is out) but i'm pretty sure Torres was rolling around on the floor too despite no evidence of him being hurt that I witnessed. What Vertongen may or may not have done (Allegedly feigning injury) is an everyday occurrence though, a player raking his nails down another player's face is not, hence this thread. It will be interesting to see what the FA say. Whatever happens I will be amazed if Vertongen is hauled up before the beaks, doubtless we will hear more from Mourhino about how unfair it all is.
Torres played like a cnut all afternoon. His red card was no more than he richly deserved. And Mourinho can fcuk off too.
