Fernando has hinted he may leave chelsea as he's unhappy.
Now no one attack me for asking this im not saying we should try and get him i just asking what you guys think.
Would you take a risk on him ? If he was going for a reasonable price i think i'd like us to take a risk and bid for him; he's shown occasionally this season that he's still got it and as the old saying goes form is temporary but Class IS permanent.
My only issue would be if the injuries he suffered have taken that yard of pace away from him; because without that i personally wouldn't risk buying him.

I think we need a striker with berba and macheda looking like leaving and owen already having gone i think we're short up top. Welbeck and Chica are good young players but at times they still both look like there a year or 2 away from being able to lead the line for us week in week out.

    Your thoughts ?

My first thought is that unless you're joking, you're going to be a bit embarrassed once you sober up

To be fair I think he's still got it in him to be a great striker. The problem at Chelsea is he misses the connection he had with Gerrard - they literally read each others minds.

If he finds a similar connection with someone he could become a top striker again. Wont happen at Chelsea so a move for him would be very beneficial for all involved.

Thanks; it's nice to see a comment on a thread were someone actually responds to the question asked rather than just abusing the person that wrote it lol

He has been a spectator for a significant part of the season. Perhaps he is worried Drogba will now get a contract extension and he will have to spend even more time in his shadow.

He played his best football at Liverpool with a system set up to play to his strengths. I think he would have the same problems at United as at Chelsea.

If only Chelsea had a player as good as Gerrard, Torres would be one of the best number nines around. Unfortunately Chelsea don't have a player of that caliber.

P.S. Evening Drogs <ok> And congrats.

    Good question from the OP.

I persoanlly think that circumstances at Chelsea did not provide Torres with all he needed to carry on as at the scousers. There was the pressure of the £50 millio transfer, he was asked to deliver when not fully fit and also he had integrate into a totally new system. His confidence has been shot.

If he had the supply, and he regains his confidence back and the chances he will score. If he were to become available at 25 million, i think he would be a good punt. I can see him scoring a sackful.

even if he is set to leave Chelsea then i really doubt it he will come to Man Utd even if we bid for him. im sure he wouldn't want to hurt the scousers even more by joining us.

It is an interesting thought. I'm not really sure why he has struggled so much with Chelsea but recently I think he has looked pretty sharp and very capable of scoring a few goals. I wouldn't mind signing him but really can't see it happening and thinking about it there are probably better options available.

If Torres was ever going to get to the form he showed when he first went to Liverpool, then yes. At that time he was arguably in the top 5 strikers in world football. This season he looked like he was running on sand, he seemed to be struggling. Could be a confidence thing. But having said that he did look better towards the end of the season.
I doubt he would sign for Utd though. If he were to leave Chelsea, I think he would end up back in Spain.

I can't see Torres going to the scum but I think he can be class, he's just off-form and has been for a while.

Any top team, especially in the PL should be going for someone like him, his transfer fee will be way down considering his poor form but even during the dry patch he has showed some really good touches and has looked sharp at times. In my view he has been quite unlucky at chelsea and probably went there at the wrong time
